@Rodalvarez80 Protip: Swipe actually does less threat than Lacerate on single-targets. So, if you replace swipe with more lacerate spam, you'll be able to keep your burp uptime higher.

Good guide, one question, I'm only just starting bear tank so excuse me if rookie question, why pull if fire and not taunt?

@remoteman60 It's a tiny thing that only comes up once in a blue moon, but when it does, I'm glad i do it the way I do.

Pulling with taunt means there's a ten-second gap at the start of the fight where I don't have taunt available to me. So if the worst should happen and someone pull from me, I don't have my quickest and simplest method of regaining threat.

Also, FFF generates threat, while taunt does not. So, using FFF makes it a bit less likely that people will pull in the first place.

@remoteman60 Oh, one more reason- with the armor debuff, you wanna have FFF up before starting to hit the mob anyway. So, do you wanna open with taunt, wasting a GCD, a 10-second cooldown and generating no threat, and then hit it with FFF before starting to attack; or simply hit it with FFF? You're gonna be debuffing it anyway, might as well do it while pulling.

@SomeTotalRandom HP is not so much the issue as skill and proper gearing. I was tanking heroics three days after cataclysm release, before anyone could even queue. That's of course not ideal, but the point is that if you're running with competent people (which I hope you know at least a few of), you should do alright.

For a baseline I'd suggest at least 120k health, and hopefully 30% avoidance. If you take all the gear out of your bags except your tanking stuff and can still queue, you're fine

@baelum2670 That's Powerauras. It's not specifically made for ferals, so it's not plug-and-play. It displays onscreen graphics and timers for any buff, debuff, spell duration, cooldown, whatever, as long as you set it to do so. Look around on Youtube for Powerauras guides, there's some good ones out there to help you get it set up.

hey m8 ty for this great guide ! i'm thinking of getting my feral dps druid (lvl70) into feral tank. For that this was a great guide ! u just have one quistion during the lvling proces shoud i taka the same gear i take as feral dps or what do i need to take ?

@lenni6220 For the most part, yes, you just want Rogue/Kitty leather. I usually take tanking items for the neck, back, finger and trinket slots- so, STR/STA/Dodge (block and parry are useless). As for gems and enchants, look for agility, dodge and stamina.
