You people who move away slag the island off all the time, truth is you couldnt handle it, theres alot worse off places than here, maybe your the fucking problem you scrounging cunts.
C'mon, Sheppey's a great place .... if you like being married to your cousin's dog, your eyes are a little close together under that monobrow, your baby boy's ear is pierced whilst still in the womb, your boyfriend's name is Jason and you think Blue Nun is the height of sophistication. Lived there for 15 years. Went to the godawful Sheppey school and luckily escaped at the age of 18 to do something useful with my life. I miss it - like I miss molten hot poo on a sore-arse day!!
my family are all on the isle of sheppy,i have family in sheerness town, minster and queensway, its true it is a dangerous place but to me it was home untill i moved away at 21 yrs of age, nearly been away 5 yrs now but i miss the place
I lived on sheppey for 43 years, and lived in jefferson rd,we moved away last year,it was ok there but the last 5 years it got bad, drugs, drunks, brakings, and yobs pissing up ya walls and windows, call the cops,,what cops.ill never go back.
Last thing i promise. On a different note, my HOSTILE locals comment earlier was not just for effect. Some of them will just attck for no reason. I myself got punched in the face a good dozen times, yet the worst injury i sustained was a slightly swollen eye and a scratch from my glasses nose gaurd, thats right, the nose gaurd did more damage that a supposed "hard bloke". I cant help but think.. he aint that hard.
Just another thing, housing is poor quality, educational facilities are poor and youll be bored to tears. If you want to move, i suggest corwall or anywhere in the west. The local college ( actually a comprehensive school, just renamed to sound fancy) IS Minster college. Avoid it at al costs. Please, i cannot stress that enough. The worst, most depressing years of my life.
Just another thing, we hve no 24 hour hospital ( A&E) which means if you get stabbed, which is tremendously likely, itll have to be in office hours. Otherwise youll most likely die. The 20-30 minuite ride to the A&E in Medway isnt favourabe. When I tore my knee open, the ride seemed to take forever, i mean, i does anyway, but considering my knee was, for the best part, a contorted mess.
As i live on the island and have seen, and indeed ben assualted by a few of the inhabitants, i must say sheppey is not, nor ever will be a very nice place. If you could imagine a run down, mid 1950's housing estate with only a few crappy, unfriendly stores, many a vomit encrusted back alley, unfriendly, sorry, HOSTILE locals, and a sense of community as upstanding as the drunk population and youve got sheppey.
i live in sheppey and i fucking hate it never come to this chavy island of arses

@BHT195 The Rushenden Estate in Queenborough is worse. Deliverance without the banjos.
