  • My late Grandfather's Liberator during WWII was EW284/Q of No. 215 Squadron. Royal Air Force. Bengal, India October 1944 He was in the Top Gun turret of these great planes

  • My great uncle had been invalided out of Burma to India - I always remember him telling me that he was staying near to a U.S airfield and saw the terrible sight of a B-24 taking off - fully loaded and not gaining height. He said he could see the crew throwing everything out to lighten the load but it still went down with everyone aboard.

  • My grandfather was a navigator in polish specjal mission squadron in Royal Air Force during Warsaw Uprising. Nice to see this mashine. An american plane is a part of polish aviation history.... Good luck, bombers;-)

  • Nice video. My father in law was a tail gunner at this time. Could be one of the planes is his. He flew out of Lido, India over Burma road a lot.
