I use an Epiphone Les Paul Custom, if you're going to buy a new guitar it would be great to try some out at a guitar store, find one that is right for you :) (one that feels comfortable, and sounds nice to you) remember getting a good amplifier is important too for the sound..

RG350 Ibanez? Ibanez has some sweet guitars, I used to own a RGT42 but I sold it because I'm not a big fan of those Floyd Rose Bridges, it takes a while to change the tuning, and I like to play in different tunings often.
