  • Why didnt they get a job with a company and deliver some loads.Truck school, what?Let them try to find a parking spot at 4am,sitting at a loading dock for 5 hrs then expected to make a 600 mile load in 12hrs,and threatened will a service failure if you dont.I dont have these problems but i know alot do.Drug test refusal, but i have the paper work from it right here.boing

  • I've only been trucking for two years now. I can tell the old school drivers (whom I emulate in tribute to my father, a long haul driver for 30 years, died August 2003) with a simple wave of my hand. The truckers wave back. The rest are too self absorbed in their own little bubbles; and do not. I respect these lawyers for trying to gain an understanding of what we go through, albeit their experience is limited...it's more than most.

  • I all way's hear about the four wheelers it's the 4 wheelers, OK After over 3.5 Million miles of driving all over this country, Over the last 30 years I have seen more so called truck drivers making a unsafe place than I have the 4 wheelers, Dont get me wrong I know the 4 wheelers is a pain in the rear but the so called Truck Drivers that is out on the HWY these day's It is a very dangerous place to be, Truckers are not Truckers anymore......The real Truckers know what I'm saying.

  • @oldtrucker63 I admire you for being multi million mile driver. I think the reason why truckers blame the cars is because they drive like them themselves. Think about it, if they are not like them why would they get mad about it.

  • @oldtrucker63 Canada and USA is facing the same problem then Europe now. Cheap EAST European Drivers who make their licence on a f****ng potato field somewhere in Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria. Kick them back where they belong to and your roads become much safer again. They fucked up the whole european trucking industrie and you guys are next over there. FIGHT for your Jobs and safety on the road. Regards from a German "old school" driver with 20y experience in int. Trucking

  • Like the Ashley truck on 5:17!

  • i hope they teach these men about those dirty female lot lizzards

  • They should be defending truck drivers against all the assholes in 4 wheelers that talk on the phone, change radio stations, read maps, do their nails, everything BUT DRIVE. This includes motorcycles. Sorry bikers but, I see it from some of you as well.

  • @care4rfallen34 yea I 100% agree with you

  • @care4rfallen34 thats what they do

  • Truck Drivers get no courtesy from other drivers. NO SHIT SHERLOCK!!!

  • THAT GUY HAD STICK FOR THE BLIND! SOO WHAT DID HE SHOW YOU

  • I worked as an instructor for 1 year in Canada.

  • it is intersting to see that a lawyer that says driving a truck is not an easy task glad to see someone that has a higher education saying hay this isn't a easy as it looks

  • I like what they say, then again lawyers will say anything they need to get what they want.

  • Good thing they are not lawyers who defend the criminally insane.

  • NICE IDEA.

They are lawyers first. That CDL was just to get an understanding, not to start a trucking career.

-I only hope that -LAWMAKERS- would also take the time and understand why Hours Of Service is a dangerous law at present. Only truck drivers with years of experience and nothing to prove, could tell you why.

Seems clients are still more important to carriers than the rules, leaving drivers to fight with the law.

  • It matters not if they did any time hauling freight. The road lessons are enough for the lawyers to see how it really is when it comes to 4 wheelers. THEY are truckers lawyers NOT ambulance chasers against trucks. I also have time as an instructor at a school and a few trainees and 6this is a novel idea! Seeing how I'm now disabled I just might try for a law degree and start a trucker friendly law firm up!

  • ok you guys got you're cdl and thats cool but how many miles do you have did any of you work as a driver?

  • Thank You Nu-Way it is nice to see that there is some one knows what we went throw.

Very Good and I am sure the lawyers will be better for it.......

Retired trucker This should have been done Years ago.....

    LennyB

  • Awesome!!! Thank You!!!

  • i wish the guys at the dmv would do it also

  • I wish I was a lawyer, I never want to see the inside of a truck in my life.

  • 4:43.. my accomplishment. Wow, great way to get all up in your own ass every chance given.

Why not ditch the bar and go trucking full time. CDL means you can drive certain stuff, not that you are remotely close to pulling it of.

But good for them in general, you should know what you're talking about when representing as attorney.

  • I`d like to know if they were told that a truck driver on long roads has some empty cans around which figure as a toilet on the road, cause stopping for the Nr.1 is not an option.... and such things :) driving is just half the story, living with it is the second. I don`t drive one and never did, but i definetly don`t think bad about those guys. After all it is more or less a lifetime decission.

  • @iiiYEDDLEiii When you need to go you should go because losing that 5-10 mins to stop is far better than trying to piss in a bottle going down the road and possibly losing control and hurting someone. Spend less time socializing at the stops, leave earlier and handle your business in a professional manner. I generally stop 2-3 times breaking up my 11 hour driving shift to stretch, use the restroom and grab a bite to eat.

  • Received my CDL 2 years ago. I haven't worked as a trucker yet. I am worried about the instability of trucking companies.

  • @luvbig41 I would not worry about the instability of the trucking companies but rather or not you really want to do this. It is a very lonely, tiring, stressful lifestyle.

  • @JungleListSoldier I don't mind the lonliness. I am a loner. However, I don't want to do this thing and have to look for a job every 6 months.

  • @luvbig41 unfortunately, due to waiting that long to put it to use, you will have to go through a school again for refresher course just to get hired by a major carrier.

  • I wish they would do this in the Law Enforcement community too. A few dickhead lawyers getting beat up, spit on and being sued by irrate suspects might help change their views on defending scumbags.....

  • it's cool that they're doing this, but that's an awful lot of time and effort to get your CDL when you're a lawyer and you've never gonna use it.

  • What a great idea to do for a lawyer if they are gonna stand up in court on behalf of a FullTime Truck Driver. Even though you only did a driving school, it has opened up your eyes to what it is kind of like for a truck drivers world. Im in New Zealand and I wish more people did that over here. Thumbs up guys :)

  • LOL look at all these suits shaking at the thought of driving a rig. Theyve probably never had a job outside of an office. If I wasnt driving a truck I dont know what I would do.

  • i cant believe what im hearing? citizens of law actually caring about others? i dont believe it?

  • "You get no courtesies from the other drivers on the highway"... NO JOKE!

14 years behind the wheel, and that's the one thing that I wish I could get more people to understand.

  • I added to the number of "likes"! This idea is awesome!! The more lawyers that understand the truckers plight, the more truckers hopefully will be honestly and aggressively represented.

  • Welcome to the real world, thank you for you commitment.

  • Welcome to my world..

  • I think before anyon eis allowed to get a driver liscense they should be required to atleast ride in a big rig. It will tottaly change the way you drive around them on the road! this video is awsome!

  • Its good to see people who WANT to understand what we go through every day on the road

  • trucking is a tough job

  • I agree with mesjc261975. I'd like to see more people do this as well

  • Getting the attorneys to drive the trucks is a great idea, and the temperature went 'WAY up at 2:39!

  • I'm glad I came across this video, what good idea of these highly educated attorneys to get an hands-on truck driving training, and being certified with a CDL. Now when they are task to defend their client in court they would have the knowledge and capability to determine their strategy of defense, especially if it's fatal. Thank you for sharing this video!

  • What a great Idea!

  • Im very impressed with this video. Its great that there are people that care and understand what truckers go thru. As a driver I thank you for making this video.

  • Wish more people would do this

  • 3:33 wich is the good anser? a b c or d please tell me somebody thanks

  • im lucky my dad is a trucker and no lie im 12 and my dad drives at night so when thres no cars at night he let my drive hes truck its a international pro star 2011 day cab

tho i had to do the peddles, got footage as well on a vhs tape ,was off road

tho my collie dog had a go down the m1

  • @5153john I love the fact how you decided to post this on a video, that involves lawyers and trucks.

  • @Matthew3777 haha lol

  • @5153john Your are more that fortunate. There are those of us that had to go to a truck driving school and learn this from square 1.

  • yes sir ree it aint easy alot of riding i did all threw childhood on the weekends work on truck always work on truck wash truck grease truck inspect truck every weekend threw my childhood thousands of hours rideing working on in truck truck truck truck fer sure aint no walk in the park

  • I know is a hard worke because I stayed with my husband 2 weeks on the truck, and now that he is on the road again as a truc'ker's driver trainer, I only have him 6 days off. I understand like me other's trucker's drivers wives must feel the same, loneliness and also praying to get him sooner and in safe.

  • Cheers...!! Brilliant Idea.

  • What a WONDERFULLY novel idea....Lawyers that actually want to learn something about what they are involved in! I LOVE it!

  • @jgmagoo1

  • @jgmagoo1 Here here, well said.. :)

  • @jgmagoo1 lol yea there only learning to change our log book rules and hours and idea of changing the look of trucks.thats all they want because they just want their dam money. they dont give a shit about us truckers. they just sneaking their way way to change everything. so fuck them. thats all they want to do. and them dum people fell for the trap of letting them do it. everything moves by truck and is hauled by truck. world would stop with out us truckers!! So them guys are a joke

  • @jgmagoo1 it just be nice if they would step in more and helps us fight the log book changing of hours and the rules

  • P/S Thank you...Johnny B.

  • Hello, Great ! I'm no longer out there, but I started out in the early 60's and due to health, had to quit in th mid 90's,and I know it so different out there now,but I miss it so much, and I think you attornies are top people,I never needed one of you folks, but today everyone is out of easy money, thank you for seeing and helping the drivers out there that even the federal goverment has added to the drivers hard-ships of the miles they travel,God bless you folks...Johnnyb

  • 2 dislikes ... people who are probably car drivers who like cutting off trucks without thinking twice about it.

  • im glad i got to see attornies feeling and getting involved in this fields and understanding what goes oround a drivers daily drive.I really would like to see more videos of you getting more involved in it. Thank you.
