How about getting the job done at the site of the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill? The U.S. Navy resolved the Santa Barbara oil leak, so how about this one? This would seem to be one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities. This is no time for gratuitous meetings and memos, pissing contests nor protecting one's fiefdom.

We are talking about the most powerful military in the world here, these people are not trained to screw on a lid, they are trained to kill, and protect. You act like we can send a scuba diver down there, and tighten a few bolts. You really think that US military is ignoring this issue? If they could have fixed it already, they could have. This is the US military, not scuba divers.

@HazeGreyAndUnderway Navy Divers aren't trained for what is going on at the Deepwater Horizon site. You know who is? The men and women who work on deep water drilling rigs on a daily basis. The problem is they had no contigency plan, because this spill is unprecedented.
