Roy Skelton, the actor best known for providing the voices of Zippy and George in childrens' TV classic Rainbow, has died. :-( , thanks for the childhood memory's RIP
When RAINBOW released '' Since You Been Gone'' (outta my head can't take it) who was on lead vocals; Bungle, Zippy or George? I heard that Bungle and Zippy had 'creative differences' whilst George was in rehab for cocaine..
In fact, I read George's rock biography. The sex, the drugs, the music. WOW!!! He makes Mick Jagger sound like a eunuch!!!!!

Sat at home on the vinyl sofa drinking a glass of birds instant orange juice, where has the last 35 years gone.
There are some things that just hit that spot at the back of your throat, and bypass all those layers and barriers you build up through those cynical years, reminding you once again what it was like to be happy, carefree and innocent. It's a humbling and somewhat painful experience; to wish those years back again.
me too scrabbler i was very young watching this. then when i was older me and brothers would come home for lunch from school stuff our food down while watching it and go back to afternoon classes. ah memoriiies lol
@pretearking YES I was born in 1980 and YES I did watch this at 4 years old which was 25 years ago. (1984 + 25 years + 2009). Its 26 year ago now including THIS year. What the FUCK are you going on about ???
@Scrabbler27 but you said you were born in 1980 and you were four years old in 1984 which makes sense since four years prior you were a newborn but now you're saying that you're 25??? How did that happen? I'd like what ever medication you're taking.... BTW, smartass, 1980+10= 1990 1990+10=2000 2000+10= 2010 10-year-old 20-year-old 30-year-old

That is not the full theme, that's not even the first half of it.
The song gets a lot darker after this part ends.

moonkeele 2 years ago
your thinking of the zepplin version.
stilln68la 2 years ago
Yes, it was the much the same version of the theme tune that was used from beginning to end.
However, this version is a small edit taken from the Telltale LP of songs from the series - thus rerecorded.
You're right in saying that the original cut for television is a good bit heavier. And better.
