Thank you for this video, Yann Tiersen is one of my favorites. I hope he tours the US sometime. I can not play the piano but for a few where I struggle to learn, you play this piece beautifully and I can visually how you play which helps me learn, Thanks for the video

yes I'm sure he does, he says so in the comments-section of one of his other movies. By the way, he has to, because piano sheets are easily found, but accordion sheets are not. This also counts for violin. By the way, I finished writing the sheet music for 'sur le fil' just this weekend. I'm going to use it in an audition later this day :)

Yeah, I never, ever use sheets. I have a great musical ear, but i'm extremely slow at reading music. I suppose I'd be good for performing some of those transcriptions you mentioned, except I wouldn't.. as I'd never look at them.
