you know it was 2002 when Boy Bands and other Bubblegum Pop Artists popularity started to decreased, the reason o town broke up was the change in music , the music outlet of pop vocal boy bands faded and at the time o town released their album in 2002 , NSYNC AND BSB were on hiatus and many 90s boy bands between 2002-2003 broken up so that why the album didn't did well on charts because of shift in music industry from Girl/Boy pop bands and Bubblegum to more autotune pop and solo singers.
They actually were great songwriters. One of my all time favorite O-Town songs is From the Damage which Ashley helped write. It sucks that not more of their stuff got put on the record. American Game and Yes or No were great songs! I really do think they had more talent then BSB and NSYNC. It's a shame we never heard more from them.

well,a pre fabricated group wanted to write their own songs and do their own thing,OF COURSE NOT. they release whatever the fuck the company wants. they don't care about the creative side,they want hits to make money,that's it

Thank you so much for posting this, i also watched all 3 seasons obsessively over a week! it seems a real shame that so many people didnt take them seriously when they had so much talent and ability. in that time, you always think things will stay the same, its really surreal to see how much has changed -the demise of radio and mtv influence, no trl, britney's public fall, no more backstreet boys or n-sync or sugar sweet pop bands, new girlfs and wives, and o-town's demise just a few mths later.
American game and Erik's Get Awar were absolutely incredible!! each in their own way. My top two for sure. He should have let them sing them. Clive is genius but the guys knew what they were doing too. Good thing jacob still respectfully disagreed and kept believing in himself as a writer and artist and kept going.

BTW all songs more rock/pop oriented came out about 2yrs later with BSB's Never Gone album where there wasn't a damned single one to dance to since it was all guitar & no hip hop or dance beats.
i agree totally with you. i was awesome to watch them, escpacially the way they changed and became true artist, not only puppets on a sting like other typical boybands.
They would've had a hot CD if they had those songs. Sadly they didn't...
