Motorola Droid: Camera Review

Sometimes in low light camera push the ISO one more stop and over expose the image. I saw in another video they talked about how the HTC Droid Incredible has washed out over exposed photos.

Going into setting I found ISO 200 fixed that problem.

My Sanyo camcorders also push the ISO one more stop in low light.

Terrible camera takes way to long to focus and take the picture and if the subject is moving at all it will blur.

You missed a way cool feature. If you have GPS Location turned on when the pictures are taken, you can look at the picture in browse. Then you hit the menu options, then Show on Maps, you can find on Google maps where you were when the picture was took! I just found it tonight. I thought that was a kewl feature, I am sure it is copied from other devices.

Is the zoom good in this phone? On my phone, it doesn't zoom more than what would be a couple of inches.... And don't get me started on the video zoom.. So it this phone better?

shame- I would have bought this- but everyone says how bad the camera is- seems pointless in making a 'good' camera that basically doesnt work. How does this shit pass quality control- one can only assume that motorola doesnt have quality control or are completely retarded. not being mean but do you get where I am coming from here. The iphone camera pisses all over this camera. and I hate iphone btw.

I agree with you dude. You cannot capture moving objects on those phones. Check out the HTC Eris Droid. It can take 3 pictures & upload to Facebook in less time than it takes for Moto and iPhone to take 1 picture. And it has face recognition and a real digital zoom. less expensive as well

Well I WAS excited about seeing a review covering nothing more than the camera on this phone. It is something I really wanted to know about it, but this isn't RADIO. If you're gonna down the quality of the camera then SHOW us the pictures it takes. You spent 10 minutes telling us nothing more than how unimpressed you are and I still have no more useful information than I did when you started. Sorry, but this was a completely useless review.

That would normally be the case. But it would also mean the camera is hardly EVER able to focus correctly which made me suspicious there was more to it than just "focusing".

That is due to the camera date bug which fixed itself a week or 2 ago. It now should work and focus perfectly. A permanent fix is coming December 11.
