Fidgeting is totally normal. I do a lot of singing in public, and while I'm told I'm not bad, I still get nervous as hell. A LOT of performers have said that they still get stage fright doing a piece they've done hundreds of times. This one's new, in front of a bunch of people that are probably unfamiliar, and he's trying to concentrate so as to now screw it up. I'd be fidgeting too. XD
