  • WOO EUPHONIUMS ...and very smart with the singing if only we could sing

  • Our top band had to do this by memory. I was the euphonium player.

  • @dadustustaxbl *hi five* euphoniums!!!

  • this song means a lot to me and my band. the winds play this before every marching performance(:

  • My band at school is playing this song. One of my favorite pieces to play.

  • we are playing this for all district and i hope next year for brass warm up

  • this was our warmup in our high school marching band...

    but legit regardless

  • Tubular chimes. FTW.

  • This is our marching band's ballad this upcoming year. It sounds amazing.

  • Great job. Thank you for posting your parts. It's very similar to the 1st clarinets. This piece always gets me in the heart.

  • God I love this song. We're playing it for band and my director told us to think of something and to think of that one thing everytime we play this to add emotion. I kept thinking about how I want to hear this in Assassin's Creed and that last part of the Lion King when Simba roars, lol. Also, that French horn rip at about measure 10 is fricken awesome. I play second trumpet on it.

  • OMG!! That singing part was incredible!! This whole piece is filled with so much soul. I play french horn in it. <3 This was great. Amazing job!!

  • I just got this piece a few days ago, And originally, I was going to play this on euphoinum. My band teacher put me On French Horn, I first i wasn't going to like it, after hearing this, I can't wait to preform this, :)

  • @xXJawruWolfXx

I'm a Euphonium player. I would give anything if my director would let me play French Horn! However, we only have 3 Euphonium players and 6 on French Horn.

  • @WhoaLexxi Oh my god I cried during our performance! When the horns have a tie from the Concert Eb to the Bb above staff, it was so holy and pure <3 xD

  • Good job. Had the honor of having Ms. Crider as one of my directors while at UT, she is one of the best.

  • @Texczechpolka She is amazing, isn't she?

  • we are playing this for UIL and it is going GREAT oh and yahhh i play oboe, most amazingest thing you can play

  • we are playing this for UIL and it is going GREAT

  • this just gave me goosebumps. that was amazing

  • yeah oboe my instrument

  • i love this song it's amazing! i could listen to it until time ended (=

  • this is my corps song and it brings tears to my eyes every time i hear it. well done

  • Oh, my, the singing bit put me right over the moon. What a nice touch. I bet the audience loved it. Very well done. I played this in all-region band thirty-five years ago. It's great to hear it again, thanks for posting.

  • I like the singing part in the middle. It demonstrates that people who play in band achieve more than just musical perfection on our instruments. In fact, it also makes the song more--oh if I knew the word right now!--peaceful? maybe? Whatever the word, it is a great addition and is highly appreciated by your fellow flutist.

  • i love this song! we played it at honour band this year. i think thats cool how you guys started singing at 1:50. really well done

  • Wow, the band sounded good, the french horn solos was amazing, and when the band started singing it sounded just as good as their playing. Amazing job

  • We are playing this for KMEA! We sound a little different because we hold out climaxes and other things of the sort, but this sounds incredibly wonderful! :D

  • my high school marching band used to play this at the end of band camp. We'd all cram into this tiny room with amazing acoustics and play our hearts out. It was really moving.

  • Aww, that's really cool!

  • beautiful horns, too.

  • and go whoever that was that numbered their music! :)

  • I LOVE that you can hear the bassoon at the beginning :) It sounds so nice.. guess I'll be bringing out my part more!

  • yall did a magnificent job on this and the french horns sounded amazing.

  • holly crap! i played this in my district honor band this year to...well the 2008-2009 school year

  • Yeah, it's a pretty common piece, but a good one.

  • lovely rests..... lol

  • Great performance! Paula Crider is a fantastic conductor and educator, and you are very lucky to have had the opportunity to play under her direction. My high school all region band in Southeast Texas played this back in 2003 and we all shared a tear at the end. Great job, and continue to keep making beautiful music!

  • I forgot to mention that Ms. Crider conducted us as well.

  • She IS amazing isn't she?

  • Yeah This Is Hot...I Love At 22 where the trombones created the salvation...i got trombone 3 part..i still like your other one too...but that was hot when yall started to sing...

  • Haha, thanks!

  • Excellent performance! My favorite part of this piece is right around 2:36 to 2:48 (measures 38 and 39). It's just... absolutely perfect.

  • Thank you!

  • I played this my senior year of high school, and it's still the most beautiful song I've ever heard.

    This is a STUNNING performance!

  • Thank you so much!

Yeah our high school band played it last year but it was nowhere as good as how our all-state band played it!
