I really don't get how magicians would want to put the guy who did this to shame, he only wanted to reveal a secret! And it's no different than a magician showing his/her apprentice how a trick is done, is it? Or is it somewhat different? Well either way, if you look in videos or read books about how magic is done, it's not really any different than this... But being a visual learner it makes it easier to understand...

@singstar291 It's different when a magician reveals the secret to his apprentice than When he reveals the secret to the general public, you pretty much ruin the magic trick for other magicians cause people lose interest, they already know how its done.

Now When people go look up those books and other learning materials, I think it's safe for me to assume that these people are actually interested in "learning" how a magic is done and not just for the sake of knowing the secrets.

I highly doubt that there's some band of magician ninjas that go sneaking around trying to find the people that "reveal their secrets". I think it's an insinuation but we don't know if it's true or if she's a widow because of a car wreck.. personally since their profession is lying, I would take the "death as consequence" to be an equally placed lie to "scare" anyone from telling the secrets.
