  • sounds amazing dude!

  • @StrickenHAWK666 Cheers mate!

  • Is this the boat that you lost your prop off of and went diving for??

  • @echo41911709 Yes that's correct, just a different prop now, the old one was a 470, now I have a 275 for a bit more top speed.

  • @BajamanCam oh ok, see I have no idea how that works because it looks like you just said you put on a smaller prop, I don't have any idea about RC boats, could you tell me how the prop numbers work?

  • @echo41911709 Sure mate, basically, the first number is the pitch and the last numbers is the diameter. the bigger the pitch, the more push, the bigger the diameter, the more push.

The trick is to try find the balance between the pitch and diameter depending on boat hull type/size/shape/weight etc.

(Youtube wont let me right anymore, carry on from next comment)

  • @echo41911709 (Carried on from previous comment)...

So the 470 prop I had on there had a pitch of 4, and a diameter or 70mm.

The prop I have now has a pitch of 2, and a diameter of 75mm

But sometimes the numbers are shown like this...

470/2, or 275/2. The number after the '/' gives the amount of blades.

There are hundreds of props out there, it's just a matter of finding the right one for the job.

    Hope that helps? Cheers!

  • @BajamanCam hey! THANKS A HEAP! that makes perfect sense, so you put on a slightly larger prop in diameter but it has less pitch, does this mean it is able to reach higher rpm?

  • @echo41911709 Should reach higher speed with the 275 prop, but the GPS is showing the same speed as the 470. I might have to try a 475 next (bigger pitch, same diameter), the engine seems to be revving quite high but doesn't thave the right speed, which means the props not working hard enough.

It's really hard to get ya head around props, and trying to find the right one. I still dont really understand them, I just go from other's advice lol.

  • @BajamanCam maybe the prop isn't grabbing the water? what if you put the prop deeper in the water?

  • @echo41911709 A deep or shallow prop changes the hull attitude too, so it's riding quite nice now where it is, so effectively it will run slower, or can start to porpoise (up and down movement at the bow). Once again is trying to find the perfect combo, can be very hard sometimes, lol.

  • @BajamanCam I see.. So are you going to put up a Video once you have the prop all matched up?

  • @echo41911709 Yeah, I will. I'll try get more speed out of it, have you seen my latest boat vid? Is still unpainted in the vid, but is painted now so will need to get some new GoPro footage. Cheers

  • @BajamanCam ok, I'll watch it now.

  • Hey mate, I bought it here in New Zealand from a guy from T.O Marine Models. He builds yaught hulls aswell I beleive. He does not mass produce them like some other hulls such as the conquests/bonzi's/viper hulls etc. The hull I have is hull number 4 he has made, but there are many copies out there from the same hull mould. This hull sure is well built and has an excellent finish! Let me know if you want any more info... Cheers.

  • hi where do you purchase the euro cat ?
