  • I don't trust homeless people, because anytime I've spoken with them, it was with the 'bad seeds'. I was staying in New York City (on a temp job). I was required to look nice, so I was waiting around the subway wearing a nice suit and tie. Walking from one stop to another, I was approached by a man who told me he had just been robbed, and needed money for the train. I gave it to him thinking nothing of it, but when walking to my next stop I heard the same story twice more from different people.

  • I once gave a homeless friend of mine a pair of new shoes. He made his money from recycling. I remember giving one homeless man some money and he asked me to have sex with him because he was homeless. When I refused, he got really mad at me and started throwing glass bottles and take out cups at me(filled with his feces, urine, matches, cigarette remains, etc.). Good thing I dodged them all. Then he sat down like nothing happened and started talking to himself. I was scared since then.

  • Some one sucks at life.

  • Some people ask for money for a train ticket, food, etc., but when you offer to buy it for them, they suddenly don't need it anymore. I always laugh.

  • I admit that I did meet up with a couple of homeless people that used to be vets in the Army and the Marines. One of their friends got out of the hospital after a fight, and his mouth was wired shut. He didn't have anything to eat and drink, so I stopped at the CVS across the street from the college I go at. He couldn't eat anything with is mouth wired shut, so I had him eat pudding and apple sauce through straws and gave him flavored water. He kept scratching his beaten eye, so I patched it up.

  • u like sad old man that talk to much ...i love that way you make my life so funny...

  • There are beggars here and when they ask for money I gladly give them $10 more than what they asked for. I think it's the right thing to do and besides, it feels good to help others.

  • I live in Indonesia. In front of my church, there are a lot of beggars. I felt a bit ashamed of being a christian in that church cause nobody gives a fuck about the beggars. I decided to give some money to one of them, but one of my christian friends told me not to so as to teach them a lesson. I don't get it. (I've become an atheist btw)

  • Once I saw a "homeless" man wearing Bose headphones. Lol- REALLY?

    But I agree o.o

  • I give a homeless person for what they ask, if they ask. Unless I don't have any of the stuff they ask for. I believe that if I ever might become homeless that someone will do the same thing for me

  • I always empathize for them and give what I can. It upsets me when my mom or others say things like, "he's just gonna spend it on booze or drugs". Even if he does at least I know I did what I could to help him feel a little better and have a little more faith in humanity, you know?

  • I live about 10 minutes away from Trenton, New Jersey and I've only been to a food drive ONCE. The things that I've seen there are kinda depressing. There was a lady who's pupils were completely white, she couldn't speak because of... I don't know why. She never opened her mouth to speak and merely groaned like a mummy. There was also a lady who wore a turban and covered her entire face, all but her eyes. This is so depressing.. This is so depressing.

  • As my son's grew up we would try to give the homeless food etc. One homeless man, Brian, who we became friends with specifically asked us not to give him money as he said he would be compelled to go buy liquor with it, but to please just give him food , especially food that wouldn't go bad fast, like summer sausage etc. So that's what my son's and I do now. Locally they are trading the homeless, housing for picking up the local creek here. That seems good.

  • me and my dad stopped on the street- and he went out and bought lunch for the 5 homeless people on that street. i love my dad :')

  • when I am driving with my grandchildren and I see someone asking for money on the side of the road. I don't judge the person. I don't reason that they will just spend it on wine so why give it to them. I think that's a selfish way to judge. If a bottle of wine makes the guy feel better than fine. Cinnabuns make me feel better and no one denies me them. I usually give the money to one of he grandchildren to hand to the person and I tell them to quickly introduce themselves as they hand it.

  • i refuse to just give people on the street money because i don't know what they will do with that money. they could turn around and buy drugs with my money. so instead, about once a week, i ask a homeless person if they would like me to buy them a lunch or dinner. they order the meal, i pay ahead of time, and they enjoy it. i feel that this is a safer way to help people in need. the money can't be stolen from them and they can't be untruthful about how they will be spending it.

  • I was gonna give this homeless guy some money but didn't end up doing it because they called me a tranny O_o but every other time if I have money I'll give it to them... I once gave a homeless guy one of my favorite hats... and gloves lol and my mum gave him money and we offered to take him to pizza hut :D

  • My dad once actually went with the guy who asked for money for lunch. He told him to follow him and they both went to a fast food restaurnt and boaught him something. I feel that is great. because then u are sure he/she got what they asked for

  • I wonder what Onision would do if the a homeless person asked for money for a hotdog or burger? Would he keep the money and call the man a murderer? Hmm...

  • @isuckatguitar12 Im pretty sure greg isnt like that. Im sure he wouldnt yell at them, but he also may not go with him. Onision isnt a bad person. <3

  • @isuckatguitar12 ??? I don't get it why would he call him a murderer?

  • @SpikyRoxas2 because hes a full on vegetarian who tries to tell meat eaters on youtube that they are "murdering" animals

  • @isuckatguitar12 I thought he was a vegan, but I guess you could call that a full on vegetarian ^_^

  • A lot of the homeless people asking for money are really just conning you into buying their alcohol and drugs :/ I'm not saying that's the case all the time, but it does happen quite frequently.

  • I was once homeless, got back up in a week. My situation wasnt too dire but I know it sucks.

While to some degree it is up to them to fix their situation, this country has a very cruel view of kicking people while they are down. Then again, that seems to be the world now a days. Just remember not to give too much away. Sometimes you can do more harm with an open hand, then a closed fist.

  • @sonicismybrawler

How will an open hand do harm?

  • @JennifurLoveHugetits Some people take charity and do nothing to improve themselves. You know those signs that say "Dont feed the animals" At national parks and camp grounds? Its the same theory. They need to learn to provide for themselves too. Helping isnt bad but you have to remember that giving too much can be worse then not giving at all.

  • @sonicismybrawler

I concur. Thank you for the elaboration.

  • Amen Onision.

  • Where I live, there is a man that is homeless and he has a sign that says "End Hobophobia" I thought it was funny. You could tell he wasn't pretending because there were pigions around him but they wern't scared of him and he was petting them.

  • WhatI do is i start out with food, if they are appreciative I give them money if they are assholes they get food.

  • "I give and give, but now I am in a really bad situation that I had no control in and now when I need I get the finger!!!" - a guy that asked me for help and I said no! I thought about it and made the right choice cause what goes around, comes around!

  • me and my wife have homeless stay at our house people call us crazy but we feel it just the right thing to do right or wrong we still do it.We ussually bring them to shelters.

  • @johndebbra wow thats cool

  • homeless people use the money for drugs. you're a dumbfuck for giving them money

  • @lkkjsd not all of them do that.

  • @campbellsoup93 say 70% do? or then cigarettes. or alcohol. truth is not all of them do that, but the percentage of homeless who do that is bigger than the percentage of homeless who don't do that. if i could be sure most of them don't, then i wouldn't have any problems giving them some money, but since i can't be sure and i'm almost 100% sure that most of them won't use the money to buy indeed necessary things, such as clothing and food, i just rather not risk it.

  • @lkkjsd well yeah. I guess I see where your coming from there. I wasn't trying to start an argument, I was just pointing out the fact that you are generalizing all homeless people when in truth there is still a significant amount who do use the money for essential items. And yeah, I don't give money to them either for that same reason. XD

  • @campbellsoup93 but... i slept 3 hours this whole weekend which turned me into a zombie, so i'm not up for any debates here, so i'll just leave the ball on your side :p

  • @lkkjsd everything is circumstantial ur just selfish

  • Damn. the homeless here just need the money for pot or booze -_-

  • You understand they were lying to you right?

  • I'm just afraid they aren't going to buy food or something to help themselves...I always have the feeling they're going to go buy smack or booze and just make their situation worse. I know this is obviously not always true but...it's hard to shake the feeling.

  • @TheGreatStonedOne then just go to a mcdonalds and buy them a mcdonalds card, that way you know they wont be screwing you over if what they want is food.

  • @ausmur90 So I'm supposed to tell them to hold on, drive to mcdonalds, buy a food card for them, then drive back to where they were and give it to them? How many times have you done that, I find myself wondering.

  • @TheGreatStonedOne I haven't had anybody ask me personally yet to do it but I have been around some friends and thats what they did, you dont have to do it every time but its the right thing to do, besides that way they cant rip you off and you cant rip yourself off.

  • There are the frauds but thats why I dont give to beggars. If I give money to homeless people its the ones who I see are in distress but are too proud to ask because you know they arent trying to use you. Sadly people pretend to be poor and down on their luck to take advantage of those people like Onision who care.

  • they spend it on drugs

  • I never give them money. I'll buy them food though. Many of them lie to you to get money, they often want it for drugs or booze.

  • when i was a kid my mum and i were homeless for a couple weeks after she left my dad cause we had no where else to go. then she contacted a womans shelter and they helped us get on our feet...being a real homeless person isnt only physically hard, but mentally also.

  • I miss the days of the mcdonalds dollar. Give them food, not money. Druggies want money for drugs, give them food, then they won't be able to get drugs, but will survive.

  • i had a homeless man ask me fo r 3 bucks for the bus, i gave it to him and i saw him in target buying a toy bus!

  • i asked some once for 30 cents cause i was short for the bus and they screamned " GO DIE YOU CRACK HOW I WILL NOT FEED YOUR HABBITE!" and i ask for 30 cents...

  • I stop by and give them food if I can because there have been things in the past where like if they are scammim you they will throw the food ( at the car for my friend xD)

  • Sometimes it is scary being a women and having run in with homeless, some guy asked me for some money once and I honestly didn't have any with me and he started walking up twords me and my car not taking no for an answer and it was scary!

  • A smile and a conversation is good too.

  • i wouldn't give a homless person money because i don't know what they're gonna buy with that but i would buy them food or something like that

  • i bought a homless person mcdonalds

  • when I was on the train once a pregnant women approached two of my friends and asked for some money, she said she had an addiction too. They gave her $20, which would've just fueled this addiction, its really sad when people use it for the wrong purpose. Luckily in Australia you don't get so many ppl like this where I live, but I would give up some of my money for someone that really needed it :)

  • another ignorant opinion from onision.

  • another bitch who thinks her pussy doesnt stink. fuck off kid and grow a heart.

  • having being homeless myself ( and i put myself in that situation) and having had homeless friends myself i cant not give the homeless money. Not once did i ever ask anyone for money but i know the need that they have. I now, am lucky enough that when im walking through town, and i get asked for change, i've paid my rent- i have my home. I've bought my groceries- i have my food. I've seen my doctor- im healthy. Anything above and beyond that dont need any more than they do.

    Its not hard.

  • "and if their crazy maybe run..in just saying"

Took your message seriously, just lol that line was funny. But seriously :| i will run

  • '' how can i ask for mercy when im not giving others mercy'' :)

  • In my country, Norway, it's no use giving money to them. The norwegian laws make sure no norwegian person have to go homeless, so the beggars here are usually organized beggars from eastern Europe who's just trying to make a few bucks.

  • not all homeless people are bad...a lot of them made bad decisions when they were younger and ruined the rest of their lives that way, but a lot of them turn themselves around and are really looking to get out of their situation....I volunteer at a night shelter and many of the people there wake up before 5 in the morning to get to jobs...they've even told us about their lives and warn us to never do drugs or anything like that...lots of them are really nice when you get to know them

  • Everything is circumstantial....

For example I once had a homeless guy ask if I could buy him a hotdog at a gas station...I ended up getting him nearly $20 worth of food and he was truly grateful....I talked to him for about 20 minutes and learned his story.... At the same gas station a few weeks later some lady asked me for $5...I told her I didn't have it as I just put my last $5 in my gas tank. She started swearing at me, kicked my car and threatened to kill me.

  • Or we could just kill you and give them all your money. Just a thought.

  • @simmyaz omg crazy ass bitch O.o

  • I have never been asked, but I have worked at a kitchen, the hope in some of their faces really made my day =)

  • I understand but i cant trust them with money i will make time to get them food because thats how i will know if they are serious

  • The only thing a homeless person has ever asked me for was pot, or some other for of drug. Being a person who doesn't do drugs, of course I couldn't give them any. XD

  • I only help some homeless people because most of them i can tell that they became homeless as a result of drugs or alcohol and in that case i have no symphony for them.

  • its sympathy dude xD

symphony means some sort of thing bout music xD just pointing out no hating

  • Symphony? You mean you would write them songs? LOL

  • well yes that is a fairly good reason not to like to give them money but i would just give them a few bucks , its not gonna kill me and will certinly not hurt them

  • thank u 4 posting this its something people need to hear

  • Every county in each state of the U.S. has a dept of social services. If for some unfortunate reason you lose shelter they will temporary provide you with it plus medicaid and food stamps.Every sane person knows this and use it. Those who are on the streets chose to be. I sometimes give money too but what I am really doing is enabling them to continue being homeless. So even though giving seems so nice, in the end it just hurts them more because they wont seek the real help that they need

  • I fucking love how partners make videos get pwned for em,. them make weak ass apology videos justifying their previous one. Pathetic Oni stand by what you say man fuck what people think.

  • When a homeless asked my workmate for money once, she took him to McDonald's and gave him a free meal. People were staring at her, but she didn't care. (awesome imo!)

Me myself have never been asked for giving money, but there have been some homeless people that have asked me to just sit down and talk with them for a while, and most of the times I've been in the train station waiting for a train or a friend so I won't mind. And yes, people stare and think that I'm weird, but why care? n_n

  • That's pretty cool of your friend. I should that sometime.

  • Would be wonderful if more people would do that indeed. I'm on your side! ;)

  • There's something we did around here. If we see a homeless person begging then we don't give him the money he asks for because there is the chance that he will buy alcohol. We tell him that we'll buy him some food and all he has to do is wait there because in case he is crazy then we're not putting anyone at risk. We did have one guy reject us when we told him we would get him some food because he was blunt and said he just wanted money for alcohol.

  • I just keep my distance, most of them are con artist, or drinkers.

  • well you're never certain.

  • Exactly.

  • You're doing a good thing.

  • ...I wish there weren't those jerks who dress up and pretend to be homeless.

  • @larkie998 Ya, I watched a show once and this guy was giving a tutorial on how to make a living pan handling. This guy said "Working's just not my thing". It made me sick.

  • well thanks a bunch.

You know, you could always hire a private investigator to find out where that homeless person was.

If you ever do find that homeless person you should ask them for your money back.

  • more then half the time when i give them money i see them an hour later high as fuck

  • I buy them food.

  • Onision i dont give them money cause its eather for beer or for crack

  • @virgo4200 yeah then they buy crack and then they wont be able to spell "either"

  • you either are deaf or didn't watch the video

  • Onision is such a good person, keep it up, man, you rock :)

  • theres a place for homeless people to go and rest for the night and have some soup in glasgow... (scotland btw)

  • I'm still going to school. So I don't have very much money. Sometimes I just have a plan for my money. But I really try to give something of it away. Sometimes i kinda admire them for their courage. I think it's not easy to go out there and ask random people for money... If you only give away the dollar you wanted to spend on a cup of coffe or something like that the person will be grateful and you will better... Finally a one of Onisions opinions I can completly accept.

  • there are a lot of ppl who make money by using this homeless ppl! so..U better look at da person...

I never...give them...there are ppl who really need help..but there are lazy ppl...

  • if you are really that worried about someone misusing the money, yet you still feel compassionate, you can buy cheap gift cards, i use to live in portland, so i went and spent $50 on $5 giftcards to subway. I gave those cards out, and often handed them out with coupons that were given me for like free stuff and so on from various places. I would hand out those 10 cards, and that would be pretty much it for 6 months. plus there are lots of shelters in portland, they can get 3 meals a day easy.

  • @ancientmother

Actually that's quite simple why she said that.

That wasn't a homeless person. That was just a really obsessed quarter coin collector.

Sometimes i do that. I pretend like im homeless so that i can collect state quarters. I have a complete set of quarters with the fifty states of the quarters and im starting a second set soon.

  • @ancientmother that was a really good story, very odd but good.

  • iv never been asked for money but other homeless people have done hobo fights.

  • have some sympathy!

  • and if they con me i couldn't care less because it's a thousand times better to give out a helping hand even though there's a chance somebody cons you, than refusing to help for the same reason, think about it.

I'm not rich, but i believe in sharing and to show the same kindness to others as you'd want them to show you, if you were in their shoes.

care for others as you care for yourself.

(ugh... too long comment had to make it in 3 parts, sorry!)

  • I know that these people have a reason to ask me for help. I don't care at all what they use the money for. if it's alcohol or drugs it's because they have an addiction and it's not like they will drink less if you refuse to give them some spare change.. it will only take them more time and trouble to get it, but addicts have to eat too right?

  • nice video :)

when a homeless person, or someone who's obviously less fortunate than me asks for some spare change I always give them what i can find. 1-10 dollars, whatever i have in my pockets at that time.

  • I usually help out and give some money when I can. One time my teacher said he gave some guy money and then as he drove away he saw the guy run over and hop into a mustang and drive off. Who knows what that guy was up to. Who cares though. Giving ppl money regardless if they con you or not is a good thing. Cause you know even the hardest souls have cracks and they will feel remorse for conning you. One day they will thank you. That is all. LOL

  • i give only under certain conditions.

    1) i have enough money for myself.

    2) they must not be rude or give me a speech as to why becuz a story will not make a difference.

    3) i must be in a giving mood.

just like i olny help ppl if im in a helping mood, not if they ask me for help.

like help them with bags up stairs or anything

  • it seems like everytime I get someone who says their homeless, and need some money for food, if I give them 3-5 bucks I watch them head over to the stop and rob and come out with a beer and pack of cigs.

  • i feel like even if they are using or whatever its better to help people on their terms not your own...so i figure if they want to use the money for whatever i dont think its fair to refuse it to them because its not what i would want them to do

  • I tend to buy them lunch if they're hungry. Chinese food does justice.

I've even had a person yell at me after they came up to me begging for money because they were hungry, and when I offered to buy them lunch I guess that wasn't exactly what they needed the money for. Not everyone is suffering of what they claim. Nobody should be blacklisted? Aren't the subburbs nice...

  • What do I owe the homeless???? Nothing

They don't pay taxes they sleep on our benches and dominate our city parks yet they expect that we owe them because they're homeless. Their just nomads, they're not even peasants because they could careless about working. Really guys! Think about it, making a nomadic life somewhat enjoyable is just adding to the problem.

  • @ crazytoiletsmasher

wow. i honestly don't know what to say to you... i think that is by far the most ignorant thing i have ever heard.. how the hell would you know if they don't want to work? are you homeless? yeah thats what i thought.. do you honestly think that people just CHOOSE to eat out of the garbage and beg for money, and being HUMILIATED when someone rejects you? when people sit in their car at a stop light and stare at you like your some zoo animal? i dont think ANYONE wants that..

  • Trolled.

  • are you calling me a troll?

cuz i honestly dont give a fuck. this doesnt even involve you.

  • i was homless for 3 months and lived in my car.

i use to be a skater and at the skate part there was about 10 + homless. i couldnt give to them all but there was this one older woman.. whom was living off of social security, i game her 60 bucks right out of my pocket, infact i brought it with me for taht very perpose. and i was delighted to hear that these ppl looked out for eachother, and she shared it with the others with her.

  • this one time there was a homeless drunk guy following me and talking to me so i was walking pretty swiftly and luckily he got side tracked because he saw some other people. lol it was pretty funny though.

my concern is about if they're going to spend it on drugs or boos. not just because it wastes my money but because its not going to help them at all. i prefer to give them food or buy something for them.

  • well, how do you know they aren't spending it on alchohol

  • @xxWHATxISxTHISxx

    you don't..

just like onision said - 'you shouldn't blacklist everyone just cause there's a few bad seeds out there'

  • plus i've seen several that clearly say they need money to get drunk haha. i give them money for creativity.

  • I would agree with you but I live in New York City and I take the subway almost every day and many times there are homeless people asking for money. Some look worst than others but it gets to the point where it just gets ridiculous to keep giving every time someone asks.

  • Also I did some common thinking and I figure that the people asking for money in the NY Subway do make quite some money. Here in the NY subway every train has 10 carts. The homeless start at one end of the train and go through all the carts. Lets say they get 1$ in every cart(they get more than that since there are so many people on the train, especially during rush hour), that would equal to 10$ per train and it doesn't take to long to go from one end of the train to the other.

  • I dunno, I don't want to get all dramatic again lol, but I don't think it's fair when people use the excuse of not giving cause they "don't know what they will spend it on". That's just an excuse to me. That's all i'm saying.

  • Not to say bringing them food is bad, but if you can't bring them food and you have money to spare, why not? I look at them and think of how uncomfortable they are and i think, you know, if they are so uncomfortable and choose to spend the money on booze well, what can i do? It's their body and they feel that is best for them....I'm not the one that has to live that way so how can i really tell them what to do...

  • Onision i'm sorry, I just wanted you to think about how it's not always easy with the job situation and mentally ill, esp together. I think that's awesome if you give them money and you can't always take them food ,etc. That's exactly how i think about that, your intentions when you give to them is what matters, you can't baby sit grown people like that, you have to just give it to them and hope they do good with it for themselves. I'm a little sensitive with some of the topics you bring up.

  • So don't take it personally please.

  • onision should model.

  • lol run

  • i'd rather give them food or clothes i spare than money

  • why are your videos black and white?

  • because they look awsome!

  • its just a way for him to make his point, like when he yells with the make-up, or the way how he turns his head & pans into the camera, its all just to add drama

  • It's unfortunate that their are homeless people on the streets. I only give money to them if I have extra change on me that I won't ever use or don't want. However I don't do this often because if you give to one person then how ever many times you come across that person he will keep asking for more and it will start to become really annoying. I'm not saying giving money away is a bad thing but always be cautious.

  • that's not true. I randomly give not all the time....but now and then and I"m able to say no if i don't have it, none seem to expect it. They usually are asking everyone and dont rely on me. I mean.....I get asked again, but it's not like they are like "hey you gave me money yesterday" , you know what i mean.

  • This is just me. If a homeless guy asks me for money, chances are I'm not gonna give them a dime. Why? Because I don't know what their going to spend it on, could be drugs alcohol or something else thats going to get them in a worst state. What I'd do is take them to a shelter or something, or buy them a meal, that way I know my money has gone to some for the greater good, instead of taking my chances of enabling them to buy something that will hurt them even more in the long run. Thats just me

  • Of all the times that I've given the homeless a 1-2$ snack, ONCE did he thank me for it. The other times I've gotten brownies and sandwiches thrown back at me, and they said they don't want food they want money.

  • excellent vid bro

  • Me and my mom both agree that your freaking hot, good video. =]

  • there is like one homeless guy that lives around here and me and my friends tend to avoid him cus we are scared of him....

  • I don't live in an area with homeless people, so I wouldn't know about that, but I would give them a few bucks, but my feelings are that, most of the time their going to buy booze or cigs. But I would still give them what I could.

  • I'm afraid of homeless drunks, or drug addicts. I pretend not to see them and hope I don't get murdered... Will they stab me if I don't give them money? Sober homeless people that aren't yelling at flowers, I am happy to give some cash or food to.

  • a majority of them just want money for alcohol or drugs, there was a story where a guy was asking for stuff for his kid but when someone bought something like diapers or wipes he just threw it behind a bush, he wanted the cash, not the supplies. beggars cant be choosers

  • I don't just give them money, but I do offer to buy them food. =)

  • Great video. And by the way, you are insanely hot. Just sayin'.....

  • your a really good person onision <3 :)

  • lol the ending

  • <3 u! Anyway, Ya, you have a point there...But, my dad doesnt care...Like I know what your saying..about some people fake to be homeless...But there are others...And he's like "They need to get a job" which is right...but..It really, REALLY annoyes me! " to expect mersy, give mersy" (sorry about the spelling) My dad expects for someone to help him and wont help others! And by "others" I mean everyone, not just homeless people. We even got into a fight about it. ya... I have anger issues

  • i think if you live in America, then you should have no reason to be homeless. you have the privilege of free education, and if that's not enough, then tons of minimum wage jobs that will hire anyone who can MOVE!!....

  • do your research... without a home you can't get a job. many people were foreclosed on and they can't help it. many of them are trying to move up in life. its not always their fault. come on man... that's just ridiculous

  • but its the truth, there are so many opportunities in this country. Think about all the immigrants that come to this country, have tons of kids and are still able to hold a house. yes, they're illegal and yes they may be poor, but they're not homeless. im not saying if a homeless guy asks me for help,i wouldn't, but why would they be homeless anyways?

  • ignorant

  • yeah there's oppurtunities, but most of those require a permanent address. it's very difficult to get a job and bounce back when you're homeless. like i said before a lot of them can't help it. a lot of them try, but they just can't move up. and he's not talking about illegals, he's talking about homeless people. and why else are people homeless besides they can't support themselves or they were foreclosed on...? and its good that you'd help, so would i. sorry for the novel haha

  • I remember i was in walgreens and this homeless man started singing, "Where is my change? give me m change?" and dancing. Made my day. I gave him about 10 bucks haha

  • Im sorry but im afraid of homeless people, but then again Im a 16 year old girl... so I make my dad or guy friends give them change.

  • I have sympathy for homeless people , there's a foreign lady on my street and whenever I pass her I give her a pound

  • Really,if you were in that situation, you would want people to help too.

Thanks for shining some light Onision.

    (;

  • y is everybody writing in paragraphs lol but true true onision xD

  • Why should anyone else make any effort for them. I can barely afford to pay rent and keep food in my fridge as it is. Just because you have a roof over your head doesn't mean you can afford to give free hand outs. Just because you but forth the effort to work and have a life, doesn't make it your responsibility to help support the people who refuse to make this effort.

  • Some people DO make this effort, and can't get jobs. People get laid off, and fired /a lot/ more than you think. Like you said yourself, it's hard to keep a house in this economy. Of course, none of us know for sure weather or not these people are telling the truth, but some of them do, and speaking for all the homeless out there is a cruel thing.

  • I don't worry about whether they are telling the truth, i would feel worse if they were and i passed them up. And even if i'm broke for awhile i still make the effort unless i just don't have it on me at the moment or i have only enough to get this or that done.....it's just the right thing to do IMO now and then. Not saying everyday...maybe not every month, but maybe a few times a year. If everyone did it it would make a huge difference I think.

  • AND, I'm not saying I'm categorizing everyone into a junkie or someone who just sponged off the government until they ended up on the streets. But where I live there are so many resources to keep yourself off the streets if you're just willing to make the effort. There are government programs that will find you work, and help you get your shit together. The people that are still sitting at bus stops all day long harassing people for money, are obviously not making this effort.

  • Its not my place to judge, but maybe I have a little insight into their situation after living on a part of town where, every morning you could wake up, leave your apartment and thered be used syringes in the hallways. Or some homeless guy with a needle in his arm still sitting there fucked out his head. Where if someone asked you for money and you couldn't afford to give it to them, they would actually FREAK OUT on you. Most of the homelessness in my city is a result of drug abuse or lazyness.
