Mod a 12volt power adapter on to your PC case

Thanks for the tips! Do you know what kind of current you can pull off of that plug? I imagine that it is related to power supply Wattage ratings, but I recon... ballpark 2 Amps to 5 Amps maybe?

I see a couple of problems here.

1. That panel is not strong enough to withstand all the plugging in and pulling out. I could see it flexing when the device was plugged in.

2. All of the accessories that would be OK to run in the PC have USB cables available to them (phone chargers ETC).

You wouldn't want to use anything with a serious power draw though - a cigarette lighter in the socket might just be too much for the average user's power supply... o.0
