I'm thinking seriously about getting a graphics art tablet and would like to know if you recommend any special tablet and software. Right now I have PhotoShop Elements 6 and Microsoft Digital Image Suite 2006. Can I use a graphics tablet with the digital image suite as well? I would like to achieve good quality drawings and paintings like you do.

You can use any software with tablet.Tablet is a system pointer hardware which means you operate with your cursor.I recommend Wacom tablets like Intuos or Bamboo for the beginning.Bamboo is cheap, small and have 4 programmable buttons. Intuos is bigger and have much more buttons. What is good about Wacom tablets that you can assign any combination of keyboard buttons into tablet buttons, it's useful for changing tools, activating color picker(holding alt)or even undo action(ctrl+z in one button)

Yep, it's sped up.  I don't remember exactly how long it took. The painting part is sped up more than the sketch... I really am trying to learn to slow down though. It's better to be really slow and correct than fast and full of mistakes. Right now I make too many mistakes.

One layer. I used a low opacity brush ( 30% ) to colour over the whole thing, preserving the lineart.
