Yes, the metallic look is a translucent pearl white, photographing it makes it look a lot shinnier than in person. As for the necelles (I think that's spelled right) the decals took me a while to get them right, the decal solvent helped a lot with that
I want to get into modeling, but I really want to get the 2nd version of The Enterprise A model. Unfortunately, it seems like a huge challenge. Is THIS model above a great place to start?

I guess the "Metallic" look is a pearl white.
I never put the warp nacelles on when i did mine, and man am i glad!
ps, how did you get on with putting the decals on the warp nacelles? i found it a MASSIVE FAIL.
Ill buy another one day and make is amazing!
