  • He sure did a good job of keeping things private... I thought he was a woman too. A high school teacher once played '7th seal' for us and it was like oysters before swine.

  • i think im related to her

  • thank you!

  • really interesting so far, now on to the second part

  • No wonder he could never work in Hollywood, where they only make money and not films. In any case the English speaking world has got to be no more than a monolingual characterless melting pot of mediocrity that no real artist worth his salt would want to do anything with it.

  • @RonAlmeida Do you mean that all Bergman-films are masterpieces?? lots of it is for lunatic view only..the lack of monney has been a real problem in swedish cultural life(theater & film) for a long time. Ingemar Bergman was an old fashioned swede who didn t find any inspiration abroad.

  • No wonder he could never work in Hollywood, where they only make money and not films.

  • great documentary

  • To me, movies nowadays are just bells, whistles & gimmicks. All the technology in the world can't replace movies that speak to the human soul. Bergman's movies did just that and are therefore eternal.

  • faszinating BBC Four documentary about Ingmar Bergman

  • thanx for sharing. I missed this one on bbc4. Bergmans films are fascinating and change forever they way you look at films... and life. TY Bergman :)

  • i wish i could meet bergman his films are so fascinating

  • Beautiful. Thanks for sharing

  • No .... viewers are stupid... it takes a lot to create a movie

  • @whatabigthing Movies are one of the greatest things in the world, more important than what you think.

  • thanks for this documentary.precious moments where Bergman is talking to actors while they are playing.beautiful
