  • damn I nearly forgot to sub, close one :D

  • moped helmets are good

  • not all helmets offer the same level of protection, and your chin strap is way too loose. Fit is sooooo much more important than the helmet itself.

    Awful awful video.

  • hello. i came to say helmet saved my life 1 hr ago, i hit my head with the pave as i never have hit my head before, and im not used to use the helmet.

  • @dieglhix agreed. i once fell and helmet saved me, in fact i hit hard enough that the helmet broke into pieces but i was fine.

  • Very informative. Thanks.

  • why the fuck would you wear a helmet on a bike

  • Comment removed

  • @cookiepwnsU Maybe some careless driver doesn't see you and crashes into you while your cycling and you whack your head off the windshield of the car, better it be a helmet than your noggin!

  • @cookiepwnsU Dude you don't realize how quickly you can have a life-threatening accident on a bike. It happens so fast you wont even know what hit you. Don't wait until you have an accident to start using a helment. Just search the web for bike accident stories and you'll see that the consequences can be really serious. Bike helmets can be a bit of a feel-good thing that gives you a stronger sense of security that might not really be there. But there's no doubt that helmets have saved lives.

  • question: I just got myself a $20 helmet.. it looks like the one you eventually wear but on the inside it looks...fake. I mean it is foam! Is it any good? Really now... Should I get something better?

  • @dimidola WTF?! How on earth could you find a foam helmet? Are you sure it isn't polymer?

  • @finnsia its a hardened foam dipshit

  • @DestroyTheseWalls You fucking idiot. It's not foam you simplistic fool.

  • When riding any bike a helmet should be used. Me and my friends were was riding just for fun and one of my friend crashed, and hit his head. We had to call the ambulance and he had to stay at the hospital over night. When he woke up, he didn't know why he was at the hospital. He lost his memory about what happend that day. Helmets aren't for when you fall by yourself, it's for accidents that you wouldn't expect. If you think helmets are stupid, well that's your problem.

  • hehe I've never worn a helmet ever. Been riding my bicycle since I can remember. Whenever I do fall off, or anything, I never hit my head. I even did a 360 flip falling off, and still didn't hit :P

  • @Lufnisfv yeah seriously how do u even hit ur head?

  • interesting visor for bicycle helmet, look velovis(dot)ch

  • interesting visor for bicycle helmet, look

  • I'd like the helmet on the left!

  • i agree that headgear is soooo important unless u want a second life with brain damage and so wat if u were lucky u might not be tomarrow

  • most riders never fall, mountain bikers who do mountain terrain and BMXers are the only ones who should really worry about headgear

  • @SoldierCyfix Wrong. Everyone should worry about headgear. Have you actually ridden in heavy traffic. One person is all it takes for them to not see you or 1 accident and you'll be having a 2 ton car running into you. It doesn't take much at all to damage your head. My mom had a friend who had a relative that was standing up on a gokart going less that 5 mph and he fell off, hit his head and died. Your head may feel strong, but it really isn't.

  • of course, i never said people other than Mt bikers and BMX shouldn't wear head gear. they just dont have to worry as much for the quality of the gear since their chances of accident are relatively low. yes i do ride in traffic and yes it is easy to die doing so

  • @halfawake454

mom had a friend who had a relative?

i think mom might have lied...

  • @sevenstations If she did she sure went to some amazing lengths to make a story convincing. She even went to the funeral, but maybe she went to mcdonalds instead.

I don't know why you all are so skeptical that someone could die from a relatively minor hit to the head. It really doesn't take as much as you'd think.

  • @halfawake454

You actually use this as your proof, "My mom had a friend who had a relative"...

LOL, have you ever heard of the inaccuracy of hearsay anecdotes??? Really kid, you need to develop some critical thinking skills before letting bicycling helmet manufacturers push their crap at you.

  • @CaneFu Even if my story was made up the fact still stands that riding without a helmet is just stupid and it doesn't take much to cause trauma to the head. Feel free continue riding without one, but when your brains are splattered across the road don't say I didn't say so. Ya old geezer. It has nothing to do with critical thinking dumbass. Just common sense that the human body isn't invulnerable.

  • @halfawake454 You are such an idiot to fall for all the lies. Do the research if you don't believe me - the facts are that you are no more likely to "splatter your brains" on a bicycle than you are as a pedestrian and that is what the facts say. However you are even safer since you seem to have your head up your ass all the time.

  • @SoldierCyfix

If you cycle in the city it's irrelevant how much experience you have, there are things that are not in your control such as buses or vans brushing you etc.

  • tony hawk is a skater.

  • I'm goin for the third one lol.

  • i just bought one 661 mullet

  • Any one that makes the public more aware of the dangers of cycling without a helmet should be congratulated. The helmet is designed to help protect the brain.Judging by the comments on this page it would seem to be completely pointless for most of you to bother to wear one.

  • well let me just put it this way, My friend crashed, broke his jaw, and needed stitches, and had it wired shut. but he didn't break his head open because, (you guessed it) he was wearing a helmet. they're safety measures in case an accident happens. i mean, are you going to argue that safety belts are a marketing scam as well?

  • ... he should have been wearing a full face helmet.

  • ...you just contradicted yourself...

  • that chin strap isn´t properly adjusted

  • Nice Tan-lines.

  • Lol thats a loose helmet.

  • misleading information =/

  • No info on which helmets are safest. Lots of info on comfort. Misleading title. He claims that all helmets are saftest because they meet a minimum standard. Silly.

  • @rmwerbin According to youtube.com/watch?v=zyIucLcCKKc&feature=related all helmets are practically the same safeness.

  • This is ridiculous. The helmet is on WAY too

loose. It should be tight enough to just allow

a finger between the chin and the strap. The

way its shown here, you can put a fist in.
