i hate uther HES evil. she is NOT. considering all the circumstances of her life since birth and all that has happened in camelot, her experiences, in series 1 and series 2, naturally shes conflicted/lost/betrayed/confu­sed. she has a good heart she has indirectly (and also directly) saved arthurs life multiple times (directly... remember series 1 and indirectly by standing by her dreams by which merlins cued of arthur's peril so he directly saves him. she gets used by folks such as morgause etc.

I have to be honest I cried the first time I watched the bit were Merlin poisons Morgana in season 2. I would've liked it if they had stayed friends, or Morgana hadn't become evil till the very end of the last season. but can still be interesting, with her maybe knowing Merlin's secret, and Merlin not wanting to kill her.

Actually in the original legend, Morgana was Arthur's half-sister, and Uther was only Arthur's dad because Uther tricked Igraine into becoming his wife, taking her away from someone else (I think possibly Tristian?) and stuff, and also Morgoes is actually I believe Mordred's mother, not Morgana's half-sister.

@DarkAngelMerlin I just did an overlay layer and tracked it with her eye movement. I used that for hue and also as a mask to add a tiny bit of fire. On the version with the eye make-up also, I painted it in photoshop then imported it.

The scene was kind of repetitive (if you could've changed what was being said from the exact lines of season 1 it would've been more interesting) but nice job with the eyes. I wish my editing program allowed me to mess with colors like that. :)

They have twisted the legends in many way - the whole series are built on it. Merlin and Arthur had decades between them, in this show Merlin is a little younger than Arthur. Gwen was never a servant in the legends, she was a noble lady, the writers just put some drama to make her out of his "league." Also, Merlin and Nimueh were lovers and in one version Nimueh was the one to lock Merlin up. There are several varitations and it's very exciting to watch which they use and twist on the show.

If you haven't noticed, the show doesn't follow the legends. For example, in some versions of the legends, Mordred is Arthur's and Morgeauses' son.

if you havent noticed there are some things they are staying true to. morgana is a fairy in several ones i think even in the most complex and referenced one she is as well. it is her who eventually brings about caqmelots down fall. no i think they are setting her up as a joker/lex luthir/magneto. they aren't going to get rid of the majour threat to merlin and arthur. at least i hope not as evil morgannas gonna be awesome

@tumblebugbydand But she's not faerie, she's an Oracle they said, a sage, a future-see-er I forgot the word they used. Faerie wasn't it.. (I spell it Faerie because that's how I prefer it, it's more Morgana and less disney.) The fact she's a villain is so Base that it's hardly worth mentioning as something they are staying true to. That's like saying they're keeping Merlin as a magician and not turning him into someone with no magical skill.

Poor people lost people they loved :[ Sure sometimes they went about it the wrong way. It's not Morgana's fault she didn't have anyone to turn to when she was starting to realize she had magic.
