  • Dan still has it, AWSOME vid uploader cheers for taking an old man back in time

  • I saw them in California in 1974 and they still sound the same...a little shaky but still dam good!!

  • @ArthriticBabe Well, I saw them several times in the 70's and they sounded absolutely nothing like this. Sorry, but this is awful.

  • @broadband0118 and everyone's a critic...they are who they are, and I think they still sound great...and Mccafferty can still sing like hell ( ;

  • best band ever even seen them live in regina in 2007 and it was was just like this video

  • My first single ! I love the song in original by Charlie Simon !

  • AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME :) !!!!!

  • eines der genialsten lieder ever !!!!

  • mis respetos al mas grande vocalista del siglo :el señor , DAN McCAFFERTY

  • I watched them in concert in Mount Forest,Ontario Canada. in a little old converted movie theatre bout 8yrs ago and they were perfect.

  • still going strong

  • I don't think so. I have seen the in Mai 2011 and in my opinnion it sounds great, i think this concert was a bad day, not more

  • His voice is thoroughly shot to hell but in my book he still sounds great. His voice has always had ACDC-ish raspiness to it. It works, but what doesn't work is everybody else's voices in the band completely gone. Anybody who has listened to the '08 verson of hair of the dog knows that the rest of the band are the one's who can't sing anymore. The chorus is nonexistant. Look it up (appeared in Rock Band).

    McCaffertythough, he's still got it.

  • @tpoppapuff You mean...AC√DC always had a Nazareth-ish raspiness to it.

    dಠ_ಠb

  • @tpoppapuff Although...Bon Scott era AC√DC is probably just as good as Nazareth.

  • Well Hard drinking and chain smoking for so many years will impact one's voice through time.

  • we all get old but we can still rock!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is great, his voice has still got another 20 years :) it sounds great

  • notevenclose2acdc

  • The crowd thinks his voice is just fine! It's amazing he is even still alive, if you even remember the 70's! Put it all in perspective!

  • What do people expect?,he's much older now, they recorded this over 35 years ago, with ago everything falls apart, but this still rocks,Rock On Nazareth!

  • I photographed Nazareth in !975 in an outdoor concert in Canada. To see the shots go to ianmarkmusicphotos (.com)

  • best fucking band of all time next to the legends Hail Nazarth this real muisc not this shit of now a days hell ya

  • This is just sad. = ( And the Naz is one of my favs!

  • his voice is shot. I saw Nazareth 2 years ago in Vancouver and was a bit disappointed.

  • he sounds like the singer from acdc.

  • @differenzmaschine

Yes, at the first you think its Brian Johnson from ACDC ;-)

    Both bands are super ;-)

  • Is this Dan? Hey, the ol' man's still got it!

  • It is frickin awesome to see these guys at their age givin er like they are !!

  • so sad

  • GEIL,immer noch........

  • Dan, one of if not the best voices in the business..

  • Too many cigarettes and whiskey. Retire old dudes.

  • @cagwa

hey, butt fk. i'd like to see you fkn do better asshole. I partied with Dan McCaferty in 1978 and The man is an Icon all over the world. So remember when you don't know what your talking about shut your pie hole son.peace out

  • @grenooch You saw him in 1978. Exactly. Now he's a washed up dinosaur, just like you, fag bait

  • @blica1--I saw that same documentary in my pharmacy class, where they had the special camera on Steven's throat and they show his vocal cords vibrating. It's slower with the low notes, but with the high notes he's smashing toward the end of "Dream On" they're vibrating like CRAZY! It was REALLY fascinating!

  • BROJ 1 BILI I OSTALI -DOK-ALEXINAC

  • only one man can sing like he did when he was younger, and that's Steven Tyler..in fact i just recently saw this science show on national geographic which they used his vocal power and abilities as a prime example of human physical endurance...they actually placed a tiny camera in his mouth and you actually see his vocal chords at work while he screams octave exercises ! his voice is in shape because he takes care of it and tours often, whereas Nazareth doesn't.. lets all give this dude a break

  • @blica1 only one man can sing like he did in the studio...fredie mercury

  • @BaconTV123 Ian Gillan, Ronnie James DIO, Klaus Meine, Bruce Dickinson.

  • @loldacz them too...i just like queen more

  • what most people don't realize about vocal chords is that over time, the muscle itself is weakened, even for your average shmoe who doesn't sing for a living, your voice gets , for lack of a better word, and i'll use a rock n roll term,"raucnhier" with age..it's a biological fact of life..his voice doesn't sound bad at all considering what he must have put it through back in the 70's..whiskey, smoking doobs, coke, eating tons of groupie pussy, etc..and ofcourse singing at the top of his lungs..

  • @blica1 I don't think he was a heavy drug user or drinker, but yeah, the other stuff is all true. He's always smoked a lot of regular cigarettes and that's also hard on the voice over time. Come to think of it, why isn't Dan dead of lung cancer? He must have titanium in his lungs.

  • Great video - yes we are getting old!!!!!

  • I saw Nazareth this year live and his voice was great, I was suprised how clear and powerful it was, so they are still rocking!

  • Should come to Dublin sometime, they can show us how to rock,

and we'll show 'em how to drink

  • and I thought Brian Johnson sounded like shit

  • Great upload, thanks for sharing. Thumbs up!!!

  • he's singing in a lower key-not surprising after 40yrs.i wouldn't say his voice is shot.i remember a local dj predicting his voice wouldn't last-that was 35yrs ago-still sounds ok to me.

  • man, we're getting old, aren't we

  • sounds good but lackin LIFE !!

  • I actually thought Dan McCafferty when he was younger sounded more like Steven Tyler of Aerosmith than either Bon Scott or Brian Johnson of AC/DC. Listen to Nazareth's "Love Leads to Madness" sometime and you'll notice the similarity. Peace.

  • Man I love this tune. What a voice.

  • Go Jimmy on the lead...

  • Comment removed

  • better than ever ... not all of u , kidding ... love the song

  • I think he sounds fantastic..people gotta age. I love it.

  • @dwaynuck Spot on! one of the best tunes of the 70's.

  • eles vieram para curitiba e infelizmente num deu para eu ir .... mas na proxima eu estarei lá!!!!!!

  • Sounds like he could cover AC/DC now :P

  • His voice is much better in real, I was really surprised when I saw them a few weeks ago live on stage cause in most youtube-videos the voice sounds not so good.

  • I've heard him sing in videos of the same year as this, and it would appear that this show his voice is a little off {but still great}. I wonder if he was a bit under the weather, or recovering from an illness?

Still one of my favorite bands........bar none.

  • Sounds Great vocals Wise For being 50 plus ..Hes pretty great live

  • echt ein hammer song \m/

  • Rahhh Eu fuiii xD

    2 x ainda =PPP

e se vir pra curitiba novamente eu vou de novo xD

  • Nazareth em Curitiba

    Mto Bom!

  • Please give it a rest Dan.

  • Wow McCafferty really sounds like Bon Scott or does Scott sound like Mc Cafferty? Great song and vid. Thanks

  • this song is awesome it would be a little bit better if they had slash playing guitar

  • @911jrod I agree especially since Slash has a more unique guitar sound, would go well with the uniqueness of the rest of the band.

  • Nazareth is fantastic!

  • I still cant belive my dad caught the drummers sticks wow

  • Holy...this is awesome. Still great!

  • Saw Nazareth in the 70s just before they high the big time. They were supporting Deep Purple. Good live band. Glad they had a couple of hits.

  • @123Boudicca Saw them in 77, 78, 79, 80,and 81. On their 25 year tour. Met them on the Cinema tour. Really great bunch of guys. Heres to another 25 years.

  • Inesquesivél esse Show, Nazareth the best

    5*****

  • esse show foi em curitiba né?

  • his voice always sounded like he just swallowed a cup of sand..unique love this band...so cool they still rock

  • Even older, they can still belt them out! I remember them from back when I was in middle school.

  • We miss Manny, but Jimmy can really play and I can't believe Dan is still alive!!!

    Praise To Naz!!!

  • These guys are legends!! I have seen them since 1978 and every year for the last 5 years and they always deliver! Brillant! Love them to bits!

  • Dan voice is shot as he smokes nearly 60 fags a day and does nothing but tour so your voice would be shot. BUT they are still brill

  • Nazareth they still got it :0)

  • I thought it sounded great for being so ancient. Good god, I'm sure it was a challenge just to stand up that long, let alone play a rock song. Not sure what people expected outta them!!

  • Pete Agnew looks like my grandad!!!!

Still kickin' out some trouser flappin bass though! 5*

    SB

  • My first impression was: "That's a really sad vocal performance, of a once gifted band.

They are only a caricature of their early days."

But the more I listen to this version, the more I get used to it, and I must say, it has a kind of queer appeal.

  • Nazareth!

    Fizeram um rock eterno.

  • I love Nazareth. It sounds like the band needs to tune down a step to help Dan hit the notes.

  • lol i get a kick at dans antics every time i see this vid.....hes a nut!

  • Aw damn...his awesome voice is sadly shot.

At least he gave it a try.

  • @tom080955 well at least he lasted a helluva lot longer Brian Johnson. 10 years ago (Move me, Boogaloo), his voice was every bit as powerful as it was on Hair of the Dog.

  • @tom080955 I hope I can do that when I'm 60!

  • @tom080955 Meebe they were partyin' a little hard in South America, that night...can you imagine? Ha! Go, Dan, Go!!! You're THE SH**!!!

  • @ChuckieInMT I think your right Chuckie, that and maybe a semi long road tour.

  • @tom080955 You've lost your mind Beiber boy...nothing about that voice is shot!! Rocked it 30 years ago, rockin it today!!
