  • Art Robinson is not a politician. He didn't artfully dodge questions. In fact, he got in a bit of a shouting match with a shrew who was taking his words out of context. He is a scientist, a good citizen, and highly respected in his field. If he'd said 'no, i didn't say that', the obvious media counter would be to show those words, again, taken out of context, in his writings. He was damned if he did, and damned if he didn't.

  • An attempt to use ad-hominem arguements to discredit a person.

  • Dumb broad. He said in the beginning that he didn't know where the money came from and she was upset by his statements, otherwise she would not have done a follow up without him present to rebuke her. Rachel Maddow, meet Madame Guillotine.

  • Go Art Robinson!!!!!!!

  • Art Robinson is an idiot from hell!

  • All republicans are loons these days! Go Bama 2012!

  • Rachel is Pathetic as usual

  • I'm a conservative and for conservatives: don't act this way it just makes you look bad.

  • Art does a terrible job in this interview. He should've have answered her questions rather than talk over her. He should've said he changed his view on AIDS and moved on.

  • I am back 2 years later for a good laugh what a loon.

  • OFIR endorsed Democrat-Socialist Pete DeFazio in this race and they go off representing themselves as a conservative group. They're bastards - they're nobody's child.

  • Intelligent people should not have to suffer people like art robinson.

  • Man, how did this guy not win? #sarcasm

  • I love the way he shuts the socialist down. she is looking to make him look bad she doesnt care about the issues she is just a dumb cunt

  • This is painful to watch. You ask him a few questions about his stance and all you get is red herrings, crazy diatribes about his political opponent and accusations of smearing.

  • Maddow could have asked just one question and kept her mouth shut and this guy would of still destroyed himself. It was like watching a train wreck. I can't believe one single person supported this guy.

    "I have a degree from Cal Tech"....lol

Rachel Should of reminded him of her degree from Oxford.

  • "I have a degree from Cal Tech"

so what. Cal Tech makes mistakes too.

How dare she tell people what he published. This guy is just a retarded would be bully.

  • @fosbury68 Exactly. Bush attended Harvard and Yale. What does that tell you?

  • "I have a degree from Cal Tech"

so what. Cal Tech makes mistakes too.

  • who cares where ad money comes from? its cynical to think that voters aren't smart enough to sift through campaign speeches, etc....

  • Rachael maddow is a scummy bitch

  • @OregonOutlaw2000 BRILLIANT ARGUMENT, INDEED !

  • @mcshundess Why thank you for the nice comment you also must hate the butch looking socialist bitch.

  • rachael is a dumb cunt

  • @OregonOutlaw2000 ANOTHER BRILLIANT ARGUMENT OF YOURS !

  • @mcshundess Defazio is a loser did you here him talkin in the house against cut,cap and balance, what a idiot he is Robinson would have been way better than defazio. Rachael is a dumb fuckin bitch who thinks she is smart i love the way Art schools her dumb ass

  • Attempting to verbally bulldoze an interviewer is never a good way of proving a case.

  • Art Robinson is a dangerous retard,

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!! RACHEL GOT IT HANDED TO HER!!

  • Can't even let the man talk

  • Art Robinson is going off his rocker, seriously a crack pot!

  • Rachel should have went Samuel L. Jackson on his ignorant ass and told him to....."SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!!"

  • Note to all you left wing oregon cooks. Glad you are some damn liberal. Have you heard about the California campaign to inform Mexican mothers about all the great hospitals and free medical care? Thanks for your generosity.

  • Why does madcow dress like a female on TV, when she dresses like a dyke in real life? Somewhat of a fake,no? Is this immature impish feminoid the best of the left? When she stops looking like a 26 year old male, her career is over. Oregon is a refuge for Bezerkely grads, so no wonder he lost. Damn, its COLD out!

  • It's a pity for everyone when politics becomes a media event. It's doubly a pity that few realise how biased the media is.

  • What a fucking idiot that guy is. Talking over the interviewer is not going to make you seem smart.

  • @Asperuaca Quote: "What a fucking idiot that guy is"

Just FYI, thats Rachel Maddow, she is a female. I know, it can get confusing when she has male guests on. No biggie.

  • @Roopert86 What does Ms.Maddow's gender have to do with anything??? Let me guess, you're just another sexist moron on youtube. If that is the case, I will waste no more time replying to a misogynist.

  • @ashane77

    stfu

  • how did nancy make a mess of the economy

OFCOURSE the president bush had no power in his 8 years which lead to the breakdown

  • Man, this guy is a wackjob!

  • I want to skull fuck Rachel Maddow.

  • Art's a little drunk here.

  • what's with the "madam" thing?

  • geez this guy is an asshole!! Can anyone who backs him see how rude and confrontational he is?

  • People have the right buy political ad time under the first amendment. Does Maddow want the first amendment repealed? Everything she asked was a smear phrased as a question. They way he answered didn't make Robinson look good, but no answer would have.

  • @kauffner

"People have the right buy political ad time under the first amendment"

But none have the ability to except those with oddles of money and good connections. This actually erodes the concept of the 1st Amendment.

  • @kauffner

You are correct, because no answer would have been sufficient to explain the very dubious circumstances of these political ads sponsored by anonymous contributers. This was a dishonest, albeit legal, attempt at circumventing campaign contribution limits and he knew it...hence his ridiculous over-defensiveness.

  • Oh, MY GOD. I watched this interview when it came out on TV, and WOW. This guy made me want to claw my own eyeballs out the first time I saw it and he makes me want to claw my eyeballs out NOW. He just rambles on and on...and on and on. He makes no sense!!! He doesn't answer the questions Rachel wants him to answer and he tries to make it seem like he's this good guy and Rachel Maddow is just slamming him. He's crazy - a true nutcase!

  • mattews and maddow are next on the chopping block.

  • Art Robinson is a bad guy. That is at least what I'd call someone who keeps his dead wife in his house for several months, made a home schooling program called "Jesus + Nothing Else", has a nuclear war survival shelter and had a list of names from the entire residency of Cave Junction during the 1970's, shoots his neighbors dogs, puts piano wires across used quad trails at neck level and is completely insane regardless of any of these rumors that of which i now believe to be true -nice interview

  • @AddictoEnvy They are not rumors............

Besides stealing my Carhart jacket from the

    Taylor's Sausage parking lot.................

  • This sad excuse for a man is disgustingly disrespectful. His ignorance makes me want to scream. I just about did after the 100th accusation that Rachel was 'smearing' him.

  • hooooly crap. On Fox his mic would have been cut so long ago.

  • I was disappointed by the hype about this interview, which claimed Robinson refused to answer any of her questions. I've just know watched the first 4 questions, and he answered all of them.

All 4 of these questions were "attack" questions, meant simply to discredit him, and none of them were about the issues. I think he answered these attack questions rather well, even if liberals might be annoyed at how calmly he responded to her shrill diatribes.

  • I love how allot of you guys are like "Art put her in her place!!11!1" . Do you not see her cracking up the entire time? She does not look embarrassed, or ashamed, or told too. She looks like shes laughing at a crazy old guy. She asked him direct questions. He could of confirmed or denied. Explain to the public his belief system. Instread he talked over her like an ignorant child. Really, guys?

  • @brecourt13 Of course she is cracking up, she laughs all the time. rachel is a clown, not a journalist. Really!!

  • @brecourt13 -- she does not look embarrassed, because she has no clue that her clock is being cleaned. Her questions are designed to smear Robinson. What she is doing is cherry picking quotes out of context from years ago on subject that require lots of explanation. This is dishonest journalism. It's amusing that she denies what she's doing while she is doing it! i.e. smears while claiming she is not.

  • @brecourt13 -- hormesis is not Robinson's idea, btw. It's a well known concept in the science of toxicology. The woman is a joke. An honest journalist would have provided Robinson with full information prior to the interview if she wanted to discuss scientific issues. Let's face it. She would have done the same thing to James Madison or Thomas Jefferson, who were radicals for freedom!

  • Too bad I don't live in Oregon or I would have voted for Art or maybe even have worked on his campaign. He sure shut up maddow. She kept trying to smear him but he never let her. We need more candidates like Art and maybe this country can get back on the right track.

  • @kydrumco Old grumpy Art. He's a scientist NOT a politician

    Stay out of my Oregon.

  • @sfaster Stay out of Oregon? I like Oregon! Almost as pretty as Kentucky!

  • @kydrumco Oregon is way more pretty. My backyard consists of over a million acres with zero population and my front yard well it's the pacific ocean with zero population.

Both places have plenty of good eats too. It's just too bad we have a bad apple named Art whacky Robinson..................

  • @sfaster Oh, but Kentucky has Thorobred Horse Farms, coal mines and tobacco fields. Besides, it is the home of Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul, the two most respected Senators. That makes KY "paradise". I rest my case!

  • @kydrumco Wow -----eek

  • @kydrumco You are delusional. And Art Robinson is a whack job. So you'd vote for a guy who thinks that putting radiation in our drinking water? Someone who wants to abolish public schools so he can sell his home schooling program to his states citizens? He wasn't shutting up anything thing, he was saying that her reading verbatim from a newsletter that HE WROTE was taken out of context. He's INSANE! And so are you for endorsing him.

  • @Kroder Perhaps I am delusional. I may be INSANE. I do not like politics as usual. The only reson maddow was interviewing Art was to smear his name because his opponent has democrat listed along his name, and not to address any of the issues. He made her look bad and that is what she deserved.

  • @kydrumco No, actually he came off looking like a crazy, angry old man who was avoiding the questions because HE did not want to talk about the issues. All HE wanted to do was smear Defazio's name. Did you even listen to a word he said? It was all negative comments about Defazio. Period! And he answered NONE of the LEGITIMATE questions asked of him. He also denied he wrote things she was quoting DIRECTLY FROM HIS OWN NEWSLETTER! The guy's a moron and a whack job.

  • Art robinson lost the race

  • OH MY GOD he makes me want to rip my hair out. Since when is it "smearing" someone to ask them about things that they believe? Jesus christ what an idiot.

  • @PalindromeChica

    .

As a practicing scientist, the idea that you could (or should) have a discussion on scientific concepts in this manner is absurd and Rachel demonstrates amazing ignorance of the scientific process in this clip.

    .

Demanding that complex scientific issues, which have been debated over decades in scientific journals, be fully explained to her in 30 second soundbites is comically stupid.

    .

I don't know who this Art guy is, but Rachel definitely loses MAJOR points here.

  • @schulwitz Uh NOPE. He was DODGING a SIMPLE question about his HIV/AIDS CONSPIRACY THEORY whether or not he still believes it 15 years from now. VALID INQUIRY HE NEVER RESPONDED TO.

  • @blognewb

    .

Why is this even relevant? He's running for political office, not trying to find a cure for AIDS.

    .

Scientific theories are above the judgment of pundits, politicians, and the PC culture.

    .

Also, he did respond, he said that in order to get an informed answer, he would need the source documents in front of him. That's how an intellectual responds. You kids have been trained on listening to 30 second Bullshit, you don't even recognize reality anymore.

  • Wow, He's even more of a self-righteous douche bag than I thought. I can't believe so much of the vote went to this smug waste of space. He didn't offer one thought. He talked over her and pretended to be pissed off so he yell and rant and could avoid discussing the issues he's pretending he wants to discuss. The thing I want to know most is: Does he own a second shirt? Congratulations Mr DeFazio.

  • Good for Art. She wanted to cherry pick something of his from many years ago and try to smear him with it. He didn't go for that. It was nice to see an opposing viewpoint on her show though.

  • @motleyfitness Cherry pick? She was quoting directly from his newsletters!! How is that cherry picking?

  • @motleyfitness plz.

she quoted, asked him to explain. And he over talked her, was rude, condescending, and insulting. You can speak to someone of a different viewpoint and not talk to them that way.

  • What an asshole

  • This Tea-Party candidate Art Robinson lost even though he had a ton of money funnelled to him WITHOUT DISCLOSURE THANKS TO AN IDIOTIC USSC DECISION.

  • Maddow is right -- WE NEED TRANSPARENCY.

  • @5random1 Have you noticed what the 'experts' in DC are doing to this country? That's why we need people like Art. Intellegent and no intention of becoming a career politician. That's a plus not a minus.

  • @wizelbee Plus, radiation is good for you.

  • @wizelbee You're as pathological as this guy if you think that Art in any way is good for this nation. He's taken money from the feds in the form of NSF grants in order to do his research as does the rest of his family, all the while condemning that same gov. for funding other educational resources. That is a classic definition of a hypocrite.

  • the RON PAUL revolution is growing

bush and obama should be in jail

  • The stage is yours again. I won't be back to this site. I hate hearing 6 year old whine.

  • As I said, I have been observing this and several other similar sites. They all have one thing that really stands out. On not one of these sites do libs talk about or defend De Fazio's 24year long record. Instead they use snippets and smears to attack Art. I highly doubt that any of you even know what De Fazio has done, not done or believe in him for any other reason except that he is a radical leftist. The mentality of De Fazio's supporters is obvious. Pathetic!

  • @wizelbee His accomplishments are visible throughout

the 4th District and thanks to him our roads are the best

in the nation this just a start.

  • Because De Fazio has been in office for 24 yrs. his record IS the issue. By pointing out where De Fazio has stood on issues and how he has voted, he is telling you what his (Art's) stand is on the issues. The opposite of De Fazio. Art is NOT for higher taxes, bigger, more intrusive gov, gov in control of education, gov in control of Oregon land and natural resources. Art is NOT for gov control of our health care and does NOT believe the gov has a right to ration health care.

  • I've been back to this site off and on for several days--- not responding ---- just observing out of curiosity. I've done the same on several different sites. De Fazio has been in office for 24 years. I have worked in the Timber Industry and know that De Fazio is nothing but a radical enviro hack. He has gone against the people he is suppose to represent and sided with his little green buddies in an effort to shut down the one industry that has sustained District 4 for generations.

  • @wizelbee This is false, most timber workers are voting for DeFazio.

He shares an excellent and balanced working relationship with the BLM,

the FS Forest Supervisors, Weyerhauser, and Menasha within his District.

As for the greenies, he has has to be fair to them. So it all needs a balance

    or it does'nt wok..............

  • Maddow is the queen of half truths and spinning the truth. She is a joke of a reporter. How anyone can take her seriously is beyond me. And I'm out. :)

  • and lastly D. More typical liberal tactics: The Eugene Register Guard ran a full page ad extolling the "virtues" of DeFazio and then wrote that Art Robinson refused their offer to run an ad on him. THEY NEVER CONTACTED HIM. THEY NEVER OFFERED but had the gall to lie and say they did. They didn't have the stones to admit that they just didn't want to feature Robinson (which is their right), they completely lied like the slippery, sleezy people they are. Maddow is of the same ilk.

  • DeFazio lied up to the last second about how he was gonna vote on Obamacare. He's lied about many other things. These libs/ this government cronies have taken control of incredible amounts of land and resources in Oregon and are keeping thousands of Oregonians from working. They are taxing the daylights out of Oregonians. They peddle millions into social programs that are complete waste. They want nothing more than Oregonians to depend on "Big Brother" for everything.

  • C. Rachel Maddow IS sarcastic (so he clearly knows what sarcasm means). She is a sarcastic stooge for the "liberals" out there who can't handle when people don't just bow down and accept their garbage. And FYI his numbers about the scientists who know better than to believe the B.S. about global warming weren't made up. There are over 30,000 known that signed the petition. What part did he make up? Oh, since Rachel Maddow didn't report it, you probably haven't heard......

  • B. The anonymous donations. He actually DID answer by saying that he wasn't concerned with where it came from and that it was 1/10th of his total donations. He (once again) called her out on her emphasis on an ad that did nothing but tell the truth, and she couldn't fathom that someone wouldn't give in to her liberal journalistic "techniques" and stood up to her for the sham she is. So he ultimately DID answer. She didn't like his answer so that dead horse just kept getting beaten.

  • @cardenkendrick , Saying he wasn't concerned about where the donations come from is not answering the question of WHERE the donations came from.

  • @lodatzor

    A. He said that he didn't recognize that "quote" because it was 15 years old and one sentence of thousands of pages of his writings. He also tried to explain his belief on the subject TWICE and she cut him off both times after 5 seconds. He called her out on what she was ACTUALLY trying to do (which she clearly couldn't handle) and then tried to answer. She never even let him get started. And apparently she only prepared two questions for the entire interview. Great journalism.

  • Comment removed

  • He whipped that whore. Finally, it's good to see a candidate who sees through it AND calls them on it. She was not attempting to get to know anything about him other than finding an area to smear him. She and the rest of the whores don't even have to make it in the market because they are bought and payed for. "Banker backed whore gets whipped" should be the title.

  • @aristotlestudent

LOL. The fact that he was unable and unwilling to answer a SINGLE question constitutes a whipping in your mind??

Because, funnily enough the fact that he spent his entire time trying to fling mud at everyone else shows that he has no grasp whatsoever of the facts or the issues. "Pete Defazio this, Pete Defazio that, you're doing this, you're doing that,", all instead of discussing his actual BELIEFS (not scientific facts, btw).

What a fucking coward. Hooray for the right!

  • I'll pretend this is some sick joke of a political campaign. If he actually gave a shit about any of the campaign issues, maybe he would try to stop dancing around every single point and shove his stupid "don't smother me" bullshit up his ass. the fact that he thinks shes cutting him off makes me laugh. I have never seen such ignorance from even the biggest hick. I can't wait until someone actually sane starts running I'm just going to consider american politics a joke.

  • She is such a joke. He's calling her out on her crappy journalism and she can't handle it. The add that was run on DeFazio was nothing but truth. Why should he care who paid for it? They told the truth. She was pulling typical liberal-journalism by doing EVERYTHING to avoid the issues at hand. And he just kept calling her out out. That was awesome.

  • @cardenkendrick

Actually, he was diverting the conversation because he doesn't have the guts to answer the questions. She is interviewing HIM. Therefore, the questions relate to HIM. He couldn't (or wouldn't) answer a single one of them, instead accusing everyone of trying to smear him.

This is probably why no-one has ever heard of him before. He's nobody, and always will be. Rightfully so.

What a moron. The right-wing simply hates the fact that Maddow reveals their lack of integrity.

  • He was awesome!

  • In addition, we've read the Robinson newsletter for over 20 years. There is nothing bizarre about it. Maddow's so-called interview is a sham. Pure pretense and he called her on it... Bravo, sir! We've come to know you through your newsletter and homeschooling curriculum---you are a real American. Stand firm. Best wishes to you and your family.

  • Thanks Art and Matthew Robinson for the new signs you gave me today in Lowell!! I got 3 more Dems to vote for Art today!

  • @johnnyoregon You are full of shit Nazi.

You don't need the signs when DeFazio already

    won and it's Saturday...................

  • Any parent of grandparent who seeks to homeschool their children cannot do better than the Robinson curriculum. Thanks to it, our 14 year-old boy is 2-3 years ahead of his peers. Mostly importantly, he loves to learn and is entirely self-motivated. Kudos and thank you to Art Robinson and his family for sharing this vital tool with others.

I can only say my spouse and I are sincerely sorry to live in another state, and be limited to online financial donations. We would volunteer in a heartbeat.

  • @dudeman1109 if you know who you're NOT voting for, that doesn't mean that the other candidate is automatically better...not so logical..."that's all i need to vote for the opposition." wow hopefully he's not a nazi or somethin..and my logic? yes on candidates who talk about their plans and not about their candidate's probs: "this campaign is about mr defazios votes for big govt, high taxes, and higher things..its about his failure to protect the fi...its about his vote to medi.."

  • I wish she had spoken like that to Obama or Biden. She lost my vote.

  • I'll bet Art enjoyed putting her in her place. Kind of like being in a battle of wits with an un-armed person though. She was no match! Obviously not use to people standing up to her and not letting her manipulate them. Love it!

  • @wizelbee

No, she's used to people actually answering a question.

When they (like Art here) doesn't do that, all they do is make themselves look like a tool. Which he in fact is.

He was right about one thing: the audience knew exactly what was going on... he was revealing the fact that he hasn't the guts or the integrity to deserve any votes. All Maddow did was simply let him talk, and ask him why he wouldn't answer straightforward, non-leading questions. He hung himself.

    Love it!

  • @Lodatzor Your mistaken there. A good interviewer wouldn't start out being snotty and saying how did he know that ad wasn't paid for by criminals, foreign money or communists. Art, like any intellegent person didn't give her the chance to even go there. He kept her off balance through the entire interview ROFL!!! She looked like an amature.

  • I'll bet Art enjoyed putting her in her place. Kind of like being in a battle of wits with an un-armed person though. She was no match!

  • Why didn't she show the rest of the ad? I'm sure at the end of it they would have said who put the ad out. The others who have put out ads in favor of Art have. I hadn't seen this before. Way to go Art! You chewed her up and spit her out!!!

  • MadCow got Powned here. Guess what?. Congressional D-4 is a toss up. Its's no longer a Dem seat. Opps, RNC money is coming in now. We are so jazzed here to get rid of the Commie Socialist Pete. I've had enough mad dewakios commies cronies that steal my Art Robinson for congress yard signs outta my yard. They fear Art Robinson. Pete is done for. In lane county I got 11 unregistered voters to vote for Art. Art is the real deal. Pete is done!

  • @johnnyoregon Good job!!! We're really excited about Art down here in Douglas County too. He is exactly what we need to represent Oregon in DC. Finally! A candidate we can be proud of.

  • I like how Robinson demeaned her intelligence and said she wouldnt understand his science. Does he not realize she was a Rhodes Scholar?

Watching how he kept tilting side to side in his chair like a little kid was hilarious. The best had to be him saying there was no satellite delay, since it traveled at the speed of light. Lol.

  • @andrewjrus Are you fucking retarded? The signal processing causes a delay, typical liberal nimrod who hasn't taken an engineering course.

  • @savemyplaylist How many years do they have to spend in the third grade before they can get into an engineering course? (Sorry. Couldn't resist! :<) )

  • @wizelbee jealous asshole.

  • @savemyplaylist LOL!!! Typical lib response but I'm puzzeled. What is it that I have to be jealous of?

  • @wizelbee libs are getting curb stomped and I love it, just look at that cunt during the Rand Paul rally

  • @andrewjrus

Amen, brother. I also love how he claims his belief about global warming is 'scientific fact', lied about the percentage of the scientific community that agrees with him, and yet utterly missed the irony that another of his previous beliefs (which were doubtless 'facts' to him at the time) was shown to be wrong!

    What a loser. ;)

  • @Lodatzor You may not have noticed but the global warming thing has been changed to 'climate change' after it was proven that global warming was a hoax.

  • @wizelbee

No, after idiots who are trying to denounce it focused and nitpicked on the word 'warming', which was used as a blanket term for the benefit of uneducated people who do not understand all the nuances of global climate instability. A steady heating of the Earth's atmosphere due to greenhouse gases is merely the most observable symptom of the problem, not the entirety of the problem.

LOL. Take Sean Hannity for example, who said that Al Gore is wrong because it snowed... in JANUARY. ;)

  • Not sure why so many here do not care for Art Robinson. I like his answers, plus best of all, RON PAUL has endorsed this man.

  • @guitarland "Not sure why so many here do not care for Art Robinson". It's because they are De Fazio liberals. Not only has Ron Paul endorced him, but he has a very impressive, very diverse list of people who have endorced him. I hope you are working to get out the vote for Art. We are very lucky to have him as our candidate. De Fazio has had 24 yrs. to try to get it right, and look where he's gotten us! High taxes, poor education, consistantly high unemployment and Obamacare.

  • @guitarland Ron Paul, astronauts Scott Carpenter and Harrison Schmitt and Steve Forbes. Most impressive is the fact that they endorced him because they are personal friends. His complete list of endorcements is Very impressive!

  • "Anal Art" as we call him here in Oregon. He's scary..............

The kids in Kerby and Cave Junction are always scared that they might

end up in his laboratory at his ranch/compound.

And Halloween is just around the corner.................

  • @sfaster For those who may be wondering--- this is the kind of mentality that has been trashing Art throughout this campaign. I have repeatedly challenged them to meet Dr. Robinson and ask him to respond to any concerns they may have. Art has always been very accessable to anyone that wants to talk to him. He has held numerous event for just that purpose. He has events planned until election day. Check his web site. He never leaves an event if there is anyone wishing to talk to him.

  • @wizelbee Too bad weaselbeast. I've met Art several times and

he is a nice grumpy old guy and a token scientist approaching

70+ yrs. And this is not the candidate that the Republican party

truly wanted. This is just interim and Art would/will serve only one

term. I've read thoroughly into Art and I can't vote for him.

    I'm voting DeFazio and I'm a Repulican.......

  • @sfaster I've been around Art on many occassions. Nice-- Yes: grumpy:No (in fact he has quite a sense of humor) A very impressive background and has led a remarkable life. Hardly a 'token' scientist. And who do you think the Republican party wanted? He won the primaries with, I believe 72-79% of the vote. Also nominated by the Constitution Party and the Independent Party. That's not even to mention his list of endorcements. Who you vote for is up to you.

  • @wizelbee Actually the party wanted Wayne Krieger to be thier

candidate originally but he preferred to maintain his

State Representative position. So they settled for Art and are

well aware that he will be a one-term House member.

As a republican, I still will have to vote for DeFazio because of

his experience and clout he maintains for Oregon.

  • @sfaster The kids in Kerby and Cave Junction would be lucky if they could end up in Art's laboratory. They might learn something.

  • Art didn't answer any of her questions. He also is secetive about donations coming to him. I don't trust that. De Fazio will tell you exactly where his money comes from. I trust him.

  • @Lupitamihita Where does DeFazios $ come from? Whats the link I can check. Art didnt answer any questions she asked because she was referencing alleged quotes from him which he stated were not true. Had he answered them, he would be acknowledging they were true which he stated were not. He doesnt know where the donations came from but they help him, why would he turn that down? Who would turn that down? Where does De Fazio say the $ comes from? Why do you trust De Fazio

  • @dudeman1109 I find it strange that Maddow (and Pelosi's) big concern is where the money is coming from that is backing many of the candidates this year. If Pelosi had stayed around DC when the Tea Party was held outside of the Capital building, she could have seen where a good portion of it is coming from---Astroturf with $'s. In addition to the Tea Party people that were in DC there were 1,000,000's more across the country with the same values and more $'s. Dems should have expected it!

  • @dudeman1109 Hold up! she quoted him, and asked him. Did you write this? Then he wants to go on about how its from 10 years ago, and she wouldn't understand. He never said, I did not write this. He just talked over her.

  • @Lupitamihita Did you trust De Fazio enough to give money to his campaign? How much? Did you or he report it? :</ Didn't think so.

  • @Lupitamihita There are no secrets behind donations for Art. It's stated on the ads. Where has De Fazio told you his money comes from?

  • listening to art robinson prattle about global warming and climate change is comparable to listening to lindsey lohan for alcohol sobriety advice.

  • @rebjiii Art says climate change is not man-made. Over 31,000 scientists agree with him.

  • @wizelbee

    Back up that statistic. :)

Oh, and millions of scientists disagree with him. ;)

  • @Lodatzor Research it. How about backing up your 'millions' statement?

  • @wizelbee

    I asked you first. :)

    Research it,

  • @rebjiii

    Haha, exactly.

  • Art Robinson is my new hero. This guy rocks and he speaks for the overwhelming majority of Americans. Maddow is laughable. I am so happy is see someone finally put her in her place. In one week we will see the reflection of utter failure in her face.

  • @1214n24 Do you live close enough to Roseburg to come to Art's VICTORY party? Hope I see you there! Can't wait to hear the phone call when De Fazio calls to concede the race.

  • Seriously, why isn't DeFazio on here being asked the same questions. Rachel Maddow is the pitbull of the liberals. Personally I don't care if Art wins in my district. What's more important to me is people like Art standing up to bullies like this. And by the way, I like it when it happens to folks on Fox as well. The days of dialogue are over, everything is a sound bite and it's all perception. I just love it when people challenge perception.

  • They should have just kicked him (off the show).

  • @Xigano1 Yeah. Mean ole' guy got on TV and told the truth! Gee. Now that's a new concept for politicians. Maybe it will catch on!

  • Unfortunately, I live in his district. I hope I don't die of radiation poisoning...

  • @dudeman1109 maybe I'm just trolling, but I'm more interested in what you think. Generally, do you prefer Art Robinson to Sarah Palin? In many ways he's more serious than the "folksy" style of Palin. But he also seems a lot more hostile.

    What do you think?

  • @ConradW I've followed this campaign from day 1, and I wouldn't say Art is hostile. No nonsense, honest- yes. Hostile, no. But unlike De Fazio who will not face the public, he does have a backbone. I don't see a thing wrong with that. It's plain to see that Maddow was in over her head. She has one issue..... the $150,000 and who paid for the ad. She should have been bright enough to figure it out.

  • @ConradW Not a matter of prefering Robinson or Palin. She isn't in the race and besides that, they are two different people with two different personalities.

  • @wizelbee you don't HAVE to prefer one or the other. I know they're not running against each other.

Just given a choice, who would you pick?

  • @ConradW Along the same lines, who do you prefer, Michelle Obama or Laura Bush?

  • @wizelbee hehe. I didn't vote for either of them :P

I like Michelle Obama's thing about getting kids to eat healthily and get exercise, but all through the campaign, she did a lot of scowling (my friends said it was a look of pride in her husband).

I don't really have many thoughts on Laura Bush (which may be a sign of a job well done?). She's a classy dresser.
