  • The motion of lifting is the same as Deadlift? If different, it would be like what?

  • This is one of the best demonstrations ive ever watched liked and subscribed loved it!

  • in Wrestling at my high school, this move is really painful....

  • What kind of gi is that? I've been looking for a green gi forever now... I'm soon dying a white one green.

  • Totally awesome video guys!

  • Simply dangerous...

  • Keep the lessons up Chris. I Learn a lot from them.

  • Those mats look so soft compared to mine

  • excelente instruccional

  • I have difficulty finishing the double leg unless I have a wall or fence because my normal partner is a good 80+ lbs heavier than me and has a very low, hunched stance when we drill wrestling and it makes it very hard to finish on him because he sprawls exremely quickly due to his stance. Any tips fro wrestling a guy with a style like this?

  • GREAT VID

  • I'm sure you already no this but the first move u were showing you can do a blast double by putting your head on the inside and he will go backwards. I'm a wrestler so I don't know if he can counter that in a different style though.

  • What is your wreslting experience? like college and what not? It looks very good.

  • super- as always brian. i also liked your lockdown counter with erik and the liver shot explanation. You are very clever and helpful. You give what many people want- but is not available. thanks

  • WHAT GI IS THAT!!??!? thats awsome green with a black collar!!!

  • seen about 10 different vids and this is the best, hope to see more.

  • great video! is there any chance you could do the take down with the left leg forward so i can see what it looks like, i come from a boxing back ground and i always lead with my left leg forward. is this a good thing or bad thing i feel comfortable this way and it is heavily ingrained becauase i have boxed for years, if you could help me it would be great thank you for al the great videos

  • grab behind the knees

  • Intéressante vidéo , assez instructive. Comme à l'entrainement, il faut essayer et essayer encore pour que le mouvement soit exact.

  • what do you think about working the kidneys with palm strikes or elbows when being grabbed around the legs like that muay thai guy was? Or alternatively, just moving into a leap-frog position on their back and kneeing them with one or both knees as they bow down to grab the legs. What do you think?

  • that double leg is badass

  • I would love to train with this guy when i get older, does he train any famous fighters??

  • interesting how you let go after he falls (except for the ankle pick). i usally cotrol his legs and walk around into side control but this looks good too

  • @racingmylife15 The let go is more of a drilling method. That is typically what you'd see while you specifically and repeated drill the double leg, vs. what it would look like when you integrate the takedown into the grappling game as a whole. When this is done, you can (but don't have to) continue to control the legs and finish in side cross.

  • man before u do the push, u let the knee down??? its wrong...if he's much bigger u wont have enough power....must push into the ground with your feet

  • Haha! 4:55 :D

Great video though, double legs are so much fun. I have strong legs, and its nice to be able to explode through like that and pick someone up. Its the best, haha.

  • Cheap takedown no skill from a black belt specially because when u grab from the waist you don't prevent a sprawl when grab from there your legs are like ten times stronger then ur arms you need to chop at the kneews with your head outside his thigh as u chop u steer him to the side u should be facing the oposite side u shot inn from not just push him with your shoulder it would work agaisnt a cheap white belt but not a skilled black belt

  • I can't do a double leg without getting caught in a guillotine, any advice?

  • @Chr0nicB00m stick to the single!

  • @Chr0nicB00m It's a bit late to reply... but keep your head up and not facing down.

  • @JayMM117 i do, and for some reason it opens me up real good for the other guy, but i switched to singals for big guys, and hip tosses for the smaller ones

  • @Chr0nicB00m if you make a quik video how you do it (against your trainingpartner fr instance), I can tell you what you did wrong.

  • @racingmylife15 i dont have a camera, but i'll try lol

  • ok so what if you tried that and someone just raised a knee or swung their elbow in your face.

  • @nickfromdtown1992

Most of the time, you just gotta keep on driving through it. :\

  • definitely a good staple to drill

  • xd goood video!!!!!!!!!!!!! , gay intro :S

  • i am a highschool wrestler and i definitely want to join his class. Does anyone know where his gym is, so that I can start going to the takedown class?

  • dass hes nervous Xd

  • I've been trying to combine rugby with MMA, thats how great I am

  • lulz

  • haha me too :)

  • So it is basically a tackle then.. I always thought it was a hit, lift and drop type of thing

  • only the blast double is like a tackle there are a bunch of finishes

  • Hey guys... excellent demo as usual. It would be a huge help if you put any web addresses in the "info" section. That way we could just click and be there.

  • U just made my double leg even better!! Thanks!

  • Awesome lesson guys!

  • As usual, when i'm searching for a good vid, you guys have the best one! I love your vids, all very well done. I love that you're consistently using different coaches, instructors, etc, to make vids that they specialize in, instead of one person teaching everything.

  • Nice video,nice technique.Thank you!

  • This video is nothing but WIN!! Thanks, really helpful.

  • i was waiting for you to send a video of you training with wells he has beautiful takedowns!

  • What's so cool is that Chris understands the submission and the wrestling perspectives so he doesn't teach a lot of wrestling stuff that will get you caught in a sub grappling match.

  • Excellent, bread and butter takedown techniques. But more importantly, a great piece of advice on how to think about these techniques as part of the bigger picture. Great as usual. Thanks for posting.

  • Nice way to think of the double. Another great video Mr. Yamasaki - BallPtPenTheif

  • @Xaymot

Thanks BallPtPenTheif! Coach Wells is one of my favorite instructors and has really been a positive influence on me.
