  • lol the renovated balconies on this building look even worse now ..looks like a dam jail sell

  • How is that a win win? The government is getting involved by giving better treatment to low income renters than renters who are not having their asses wiped? And they are doing this by basically bribing the developers with favorable zoning by-laws that some developers do not have. The gov't should stay out of the market and allow property owners and builders to determine what to build and how much to charge, based on the free market.

  • amen....i live in housing near pape and danforth....and they dont give a shit!

  • You bums. I work my ass off to pay taxes for your handouts and all you do is complain about the smallest things. Oh there is a crack in the sidewalk, oh there is too much garbage :(. You lazy fucks should live in the dumpster instead of just smelling it. Stop asking for handouts and get a job.

  • this is no suprise to me see my videos of it in my building

    My living hell is tchc

see my rants on here of the gag order they are tring to place on me....join 275 bleecker street on facebook, hear our stories i went 2 years with out a proper working fridge with hep c meds and hiv meds

  • How dare the government not pick up the overflowing litter that was put their by the welfare residents. Stop looking for a handout, if you don't like the welfare building get a better job, sounds like a typical entitled Canadian welfare recipient.

  • The city just needs to convert as much of the existing housing stock to mixed income, with say 80% market rent 20% subsidized. With the money made from market renters and nearby condos and townhouses there's leess need for government money to pay for for the subsidized apartments. The city is even cutting deals with condo developers where the city will let them build taller buildings in exchange for setting aside some of the units for lower income households, a true win win for both sides :)

  • Teach your kids to be respectful human beings. Teach them NOT to shit and piss in stairwells and in the elevators. Teach them to NOT break stuff like windows and such. Teach them to throw their garbage away in the proper manner. Teach your kids that guns are illegal and that they shouldn't be low life scum bag losers that kill each other. Maybe community housing wouldn't be such a bad place after all.

  • @TheMeanGreeny do you know any one in housing? Cause they aint all kids causing the problems, its the junkies and the poor system. Shitty things happen in shitty places. If housing was run better the cash could be used to make our home a home....instill pride instead of despair

  • No way... there's a bump in the sidewalk! That's nuts man... nuts... total ghetto slum. Unbelievable. I can't believe people can live with bumps in the sidewalk. And no one immediately cleaned up all the shit that people threw next to the garbage can in their own building? Crazy.

  • yo this is my hometown my whole life was here 801

  • get the pigs that live there to clean it why should someone else clean if fuck em

  • who cares if they fall tell them to get off their welfare ass and fix it fuck em

  • @shpickey most of us are on odsp cause we can not work, there are people with jobs living in housing paying geared to income rent. My tax money from when i was well and working before i was fired for having hiv, PAID for toronto housing, i thought it was managed better. So dont get cancer or crones, or a debilitation illness cause you'll might be living next to me in hell

  • The cleaning staff are union so they do very little and get paid well to do it. OCAP has been organizing against TCHC for years and nothing gets done, they won't be accountable for the way they treat people. TCHC has the backing of the city council Write you coucillors and send them links to You Tube asked them why they allow this to keep happening thats what I plan on doing.

  • i live in that area

  • Hey, this is a very good idea and effective. If enough TCHC properties posted on youtube, the evidence would be overwhelming.

  • Ontario Coalition Against Poverty is organizing TCHC residents to hold TCHC accountable for the state of disrepair of its buildings. We're collecting complaints of building and unit problems, organizing a contingent of tenants to attend the next TCHC board meeting, and have made a map of TCHC buildings where you can post comments and photos (communitywalk dot com/tchc). Please email "ocap at tao dot ca", phone 416-925-6939 or see our web page "ocap dot ca".

  • take LEGAL ACTION...every 1 can come 2gether....power in numbers and video evidence.

sometimes we have to fight to get our rights...people in housing need code info.human rights info instead of just accepting and being a victim.

It is our fear that stops us from doung the right thing

  • The world is coming to an end. This video proves it.
