  • .....oh, and what if we dont have a stretcher bar?

    what can we use instead?

  • how do i attach multiple chain link fences together.....

    i have to make a 150 ft chain-link fence.......and each roll is 50 ft.

when one roll ends, how to i start the next one?

    Thanks!

  • We are all about hair and beauty and thought we had a lot in common!

  • infinityfence thanks for your feed back. It's interesting how many ways and styles people install chain-wire fencing, and see the different styles of fittings. This fence is very much a budget fence which I can understand, it's just not how we would do it here in Tasmania/ Australia. I'm sure there are plenty of contractors there doing a great job too! Paul

  • I have 30+ years fencing exp.

OK.....so you stretch the wire but do not grade it while doing so...that will look like crap. Take a look at the way the fabric lines run at 1:49, they should run straight, following the lay of the top rail.

Height of wire too low on rail, but that is also because he should have set at 45" for the line posts, not 46". At 46" you will be off the grade if the height of the chain link fabric is placed properly. Height should be about 1" (give or take a fuzz).

  • As mentioned by another, at the 2:00 minute mark, you can see a tension band used for top rail attachment instead of brace band.

Why is the gate so much shorter than the fence???

If this is a home improvement expert, I am your next President of the United States.

This is some shabby stuff, no wonder 70% of fence installations are so poorly done.

  • @kittenmachinegun........ Yeah, lame, anyone posting how to videos that doesn't know what they are doing............ That's lame.

  • WOW you guys in the US do things quite a bit differently than we do in Australia. We would never use rail that small, we would use 32nb 11/4 inch or 40nb 1 1/2 inch plus we would strain a 4mm helicoil cable at the bottom and set 1/2 - 1 full diamond up from the bottom, and what's the deal with these ties?? we set the chainlink below the top rail and lace it. Maybe I should come to the US and show you how it's done.... Supreme Line Fencing - Tasmania

  • @ryanspault 70% o f the guys installing here can't do it properly the way we do it here...and you want then to be craftsmen???...LOLOL....for most, all about pricing here. T

The only stuff laced here are high end dog kennels and they generally are made by companies specializing in their manufacture.

  • Anyone notice he used tension bands instead of brace bands for the top rail? Jeez.........

People should know what they are doing before they put up how to videos.

  • @statewidehotshot LOL. As suspected, anyone who isn't a professional fence installer is lame.

  • I noticed that he used a tension band instead of a brace band notice too his gloves pretty clean doesn't know how to get dirty lol bet my last dollar he didn't even dig the holes

  • He failed to mention how to attach the fabric to the tension wire which was previously installed on the last video part and isnt even in this part... what the F

  • Great video, helped me a ton!

  • master!!!!!

  • hey dude you stretched that thin junk wire too tight i could see those smashed diamonds . also, when you tie the fence off make sure you tie to the inside of the weave not the outside like you did. elevate the top diamond of the wire about an inch above the toprail.
