@231171 Duvdevan "Cherry" is the IDF Undercover Counter Terrorist unit. They are elite and like Sayeret Matkal (the Army's top SF unit) they do not wear insignia and keep their identities hidden. Duvdevan operates in the West Bank solely and has no war time mission; they are a full time CT unit. But rather than being reactionary they are a unit which uses offensive tactics. They use undercover and urban combat skills to arrest or eliminate dangerous militants and terrorists within their

The unit was originally attached to the Paratroopers Brigade but is not seperate; however initial basic training is conducted with the Paratroopers before moving onto more advanced training. The unit is self contained as in it provides all it's own support and has vast capabilities. etc..sniping, surveillance, entry teams.. The unit has a high op tempo and only a few make into the unit.
@231171 A similar unit would be the YAMAS (Israeli Border Police under cover CT unit) which does a similar role but focuses more on criminal or intelligence targets. Hope that was helpful :) Im sure someone else can tell you far much more than I know.
