If I'm not mistaken, this episode was one of the first Syndie Match Game episodes to air after GSN became The Network For Games(but still showed the entire closings despite the GSN credit crunch). Also, this was from taped episode #385 but like you said Mr. Downs, not all stations got to see this same week of episodes simultaneously.
@MountainHawkPYL I realize that now, but at the time of my last comment, I don't know what I was thinking. I wanted to say something similar to "that word", but I didn't want to go too far.
You may want to point out that it's a Fall 1981 show (mid-October or so), David, as the opening logo is centered in front of the doors. Still, fascinating to see a repeat from the "1985 Season", and nice to see that it was basically left alone by WSB.
It's kind of weird that this was the only week Brett missed in the final season (in comparison, McLean missed five and Charles missed seven).

Not really sure what Betty Kennedy is famous for... but she is (was) HAWT!!
gameshowluvr86 2 months ago
She had a number of bit roles on TV (most notably in Ladies Man) in the early 80s and also was in Cheech & Chong's Next Movie.

For that first question, I didn't even think of "nose" for an answer, so I said "tinkler".

@bluebear1985 For Match Game, "nose" was always the clean answer for that type of question.

Charlie Van Dyk on the WSB voiceovers -- still doing local TV and news work!

I could do that (though syndie dates, as usual, are hard to nail down). Thanks!

@gamelover1949 Interesting thing -- I just now noticed there's a DVD menu at the very beginning that says "May 1985". Huh.

Must've been from the original trader (there are a few episodes that were taped from this station).

@WarioBarker88 MG was going to be revived in 1985 but Gene had already committed to Break the Bank a move he would later come to regret.

I remembered that funny ticket plug, and thanks for that entire episode.

No problem.

WSB had the same "2" logo as WESH in Orlando back then.

Guess she had time off during that taping session.

An original broadcast too.....Very rarely do you see an episode of Match Game that was not taken from a GSN rerun.

It's a repeat airing from 1985. It was cool of the station to include the ticket plug and credits though.
