WoW !! Thanks for posting this Louis .. I left out of Red Rose Gate back at the end of 65'. Many a good day at the pool ... sad it's gone. We used to sled down that hill by Forsythia down into the 'parking lot'. .... Sooo much time spent in those woods .... rope swings ........ fishing .... even swimming. Near that rock on the Red Rose side was a depression used as an outdoor skating rink in the ol' days. Our family lived on Rockwood Rd.... 48 Rockwood Rd.
Yes, Goodnoes was in Newtown (I think there's a new "spinoff" in the New Hope area now). Greenwood Daries (home of the PIGS DINNER) was on Biz Rt. 1 Across from where the McDonalds is. I think its now a big Toyota dealer.
i go to samuel everitt now and i live in forsythia gate but if the pool was still there i would go biking there to go to the pool and now theres a park where it was:(
There is nothing special about that shopping center. The Wal-Mart is too big and the area is now way overcrowded. Also its now the gateway for the Trenton takeover of Levittown. Just watch and wait. Tooo bad I won't be living here when it "changes".
I agree. I now live in Langhorne and will not even think about going to the new Walmart. If it were still the Good Old Levit shopping center I would go. Probably mostly because of the nastalgia. Does anyone remember Chain Outlet there?
I have to say, i feel safer walking on hanover street in trenton, otherwise known as crack street, than i do at this shopping center. I was there once and saw 3 separate fights break out, i'm sure that was a rare ocurence, but i'm done with that place.
Yes Goodnoe's was in Newtown. At the very start of this video there is a close up on the front of the goodnoe's menu, and it looks like that's where he's sitting.

Good old Levittown!! I grew up in Falls Township in the Thronridge section but I sure miss it! At 2:13 was the library I spent a ton of time at.

This town today is 95% white. Very little non-white minorities. Absolutely disgusting. A very strict racist housing policy is still in place.

I remember being able to smell the "Pool" when we made the turn from Forsythia drive. Oh and don't forget the Oboyle truck

It would be nice to see the Fox Theater again in all of its 70mm glory.
