What about BRIGHTNESS ?! ITS very important issue in all new monitors...They just dark and almoust normal... You cant go to brighterr picture by any move... Any idea how it is with this dell 2410?

@FXNSantaMonica Lol, yeah. I also hate how even the camera itself can't capture what the monitor truly looks like either. I wish I could take all these IPS screens into a room and compare them in person for 20 hours straight until I come to a conclusion. Damn I'm crazy.

If you want the best from the best, get an NEC2490.

very few people can afford that for a measley 24inch of screen. you can get an entire 47inch local dimmed LED hdtv 1920x1080 for $800.

for the price, the U2410 is virtually unmatched. especially when you wait it out for Dell Coupons+instant savings, brings the price down even more.

True, about The Dell U2410 it is the best bang for buck atm no doubt your right.

What i cant understand is how come some pepole pay like 200 $ for shitty 22 "full hd" monitors with tn panels, and for just 30+ u can get an Dell 2209WA IPS or something similar, must be that fake LED marketing crap lol!

I'm so worried about the green/pink tint problem that seems to be plaguing these monitors. Apparently Dell won't let you return it if you do get one with this problem. This is really the only thing keeping me from getting one. Do you know if they've fixed it with the newer ones?

Hey nice video. I'm on the look for a monitor. I checked this on CNET it claims this:

It also has a slight pink tint and its RGB presets produce dithering when viewing dark gray colors.

Is that true or you think they just got a faulty device?:P

i guarantee after you spend time with this monitor, you'll have a super hard time justifying other panel techs (TN/Samsungs) and LCD Tvs ;D

dont worry though, dell gives you a dvi cable, already connected to the monitor's port when u get it. (i might be wrong, it might be a vga cable, i don't remember! lol)

not sure what you worry for input lag, ive played competitively in all sorts of games using this screen on both platforms pc and ps3.

counterstrike/cs source/modernwarfare 2/starcraft 2/team fortress 2/GRID/crysis/serious sam hd

and i still top the rankings/top frags, so not sure what your worries will concern =)

I'm in the market for some new monitors to create an eyefinity group, I had my heart set on the U2410. But because I'm also a competitive gamer I was thinking it may be best to just get some cheap TN panels with lesser response times and deal with the lesser picture quality. I guess I should order a single unit U2410 and BenQ2420HDBL and do some testing of my own before taking the plunge.

theres no words to describe it, a camera lens can only show you this much unfortunately.. you have to see it and experience it yourself.

'til this day i'm still overtly impressed at the color/picture quality of this panel, having switching around wallpapers at 1920x1200 hd resolution, as well as playing more games...it's simply gorgeous.

sure anyone can just find a 1920x1200 super high-res/hd wallpaper and put it on their screen too for the fidelity...but i look over at my Asus' laptop TN panel with the same image (albeit the laptop has a lower resolution) and the difference is [gigantic] ... at least with my laptop (TN) vs this IPS. the same "hd image" is soo flat and dull, it's "just there" on the screen..whereas the IPS panel the image seems to "pop off" and makes you think you can actually touch it.

it depends what you as a buyer, are looking for in your new monitor lol..

do you want it for work or gaming?

for me, i look for native reso, contrast ratio (static), and viewing angle, color uniformity, and for me personally, especially the panel type (technology). there's 3 major panel types, TN, PVA, and IPS, the U2410 here is IPS, which is recognized to be the most superior panel technology of the 3 in terms of color & viewing angle.

unfortunately no, i havnt bothered with it, since so far the panel i have (rev00 im assuming since its a monitor from day 1 in the store shelves) has been flawless for all my modes of usage (movies, bluray, ps3, pc gaming, photoshop, maya).

i believe the G series is based on inferior panel tech compared to the U2410.

G series is probably TN panel, this U2410 is IPS.

hey checked out the site but i couldn't find any pics of you playing on the ps3. I'm confused how ps3 games show up on a 1920x1200 monitor when its 1080p does it show black bars or stretch the image? Does the stretching make it look bad?

Hey. Nice screen! I'm just wondering about the backlight bleed in the corners - is it as visible as in this clip or does it only look like that in the video because of your camera's exposure time? Also what do you think of the wide gamut colours - are they pleasant to the eye like turning saturation up by 10-15 units in ati ccc (or digital vibrance in nvidia) or are they too "cartoony" and unreal?
