I keep hearing ISH on every video (more noticeable on this one), even from native germans. My teacher says it's ICH

@argiemerc it's "ICH", not as hard or deep in the throat as the "j" in Spanish though. It's more between tongue and palate. The ones who say "ish" had some bad teachers, are still learning German or...well, some youths nowadays speak a bit less clearly and/or actually talk the same way as e.g. the Turkish people they know from their surroundings who just speak broken German/with a thick accent. So odd and terrible X_X.

For proper "high German" or at least real local accents like Swabian!;)

Maybe should practice those annoying letters more like ä,ü,ö. They don't even appear the the english language so its probably hard to learn them. There also used in all scandinavian languages. keep the videos coming :D

@DerMaskenfrosch Yes, thanks, I think it takes years of practice and speaking and hearing a langues to master all the sounds that foriegn to you like the ä,ü,ö - "hr" hitting the Z - Zu it all take time. I 've noticed this with native Germany speakers when even after many years they will still pronouce "V" instead of a "W" or it will be a soft "v" sound. But yeah, I agree totally.

@DerMaskenfrosch Ä muss eigentlich einfach für Englischsprachige sein, und in Amerika soagr noch einfacher, ihr Englisch hat viele Ä, zum Beipsiel in after (äfter), das Britische after im Vergleich (after). Ö müsste man auch noch hinbekommen, da das Englische auch Ö hat, nur wird nie o als ö ausgesprochen und Ö wird auch nicht so geschrieben, aber in Wörtern wie Dirty, Turkish usw. findet sich das Ö. Ü gibt es wiederum eigentlich gar nicht. Aber selbst das harte Ch [x] gibt es im englischen Loch

I know lots Germans who have spoken English since they were in grammar school (my wife included) who still have accents - heavy misprounciation of words after speaking the language 30, 40 years. Now as to my German being "not that good" that's all relative. Isn't it?
