From what I understand, when the receivers where first made they had silver magnets and the processor was smaller, but the receivers with gold magnets have stronger processors. But according to Plantraco the sound is created by the vibration given off from the act to the foam that it is touching. If the hole that your act is in is loose, then that would explain a weak sound.

There is a tone difference between the receivers that have gold and silver magnets for the batteries. I have gold.

Hi , I have 2 plantraco micro 9s. I think they work properly but don't sound the same as yours. What reciever are you using? Thanks
