1/16 to 1/8 " is a huge gap in crown molding... Not good at all... Try a cope cut... Much more professional and with a little bit of sandpaper can close any gaps...
No disrespect meant. You're trying to sell something I know. Coping the molding is the way the pro's do it. Simply mitering a corner is not recommended for professional results. Sorry boys !

End rersult did not look perfect.
Looked like about a 1/16" gap. That is before he put his finger over it!
