Aliens are among us. They always have been. The earth is hollow and they live deep inside. There is an inner sun. cf "hollow earth." Further technology exists, but it is kept from the average corporation or organization because they don't want us to advance. Also they create turmoil just for fun. WW!, WW2, everything. They feed off our fear and insecure negative energy, like singing can be refreshing instead of eating, or other physical and spiritual needs. They feed of different energy.
I once had a vision that our bodies serve as devices by which extradimensional beings perceive OUR reality. There is like fiberoptics that are connected from the other dimension to our brains and we are like TV sets. Our senses (touch, sight, sound, etc) are transmitted through these fibers and the EDs tap into the fibers on their end to Experience our reality. They come and go at their leisure like we do with out entertainment devices. We are not normally aware of them tapping into us.

You have a great point to put yourself in an ant's shoes and look at us as intelligent ETS, because people do keep ant farms to see their progression in their building, just like ETs could do the same to us. those are very very good points but i believe when you first stated they dont know how to communicate with us is the possible scenario. because we have the capability to go to space and build space stations and other stuff they might have a curiosity about us. in Africa people build buildings that function like an ant hill because ant hills dont need air conditioners. cool and hot air are always flowing in and out. of the hill.
