lov this..i don't like reading the comments tho. and i am a 55 year old(white) woman.....and a Pats fan... but nobody will ever be as good or come close to the "STEEL CURTAIN" again! ever..
dougalmac....the kids 16 yrs. old, lives in north carolina....and his dream is to become proficient at BANJO playing!!!!!!..........don't worry he has no idea what i just said.......nuts kicking?!........i like it !!!.......
you ignorant dick "loosing?" "loose to some of the worse (worst) teams?" you can barely speak or write English, you stupid jerk-off. Yeah, the Steelers still had a winning season, you moron. 9-7. We will be back, and we'll kick your punk-ass team in the nuts. Hope i see ya' at one of the games, I'll kick yer nuts in for ya, JAG-OFF!
we just pulled this out at the end.......holmes doesn't make the catch, game over. hope next season they work on the offense to give more time to ben. 6 is a nice round number!!!!
If we had Hines Ward, Santanio Holmes, Lima Sweed, and Lynn Swann at Wide receiver. We would be able to dominate the field and get the first down every time. And probably a Touchdown to. If the best of 1976 defense players were added to today's best players the defense could not be stopped. Then again the defense hit so hard back then they would get penalized like Hines Ward did for that sweet hit on that Bengals player. Go Ward!!!
I do have a criticism of this video. Why would you use a 1987 song for a team of the 70's? And a song called "Welcome to the Jungle" which was what the Bengals called home, wasn't it?
it's a tribute to the 1970's Steelers that shit dosent have anything to do with the song or when it was wrote and i dont give a fuck about the bengals and it was the only song that would work on microsoft movie maker i dont even like this song
we can all argue who was better who hit harder who did this who did that but we can't argue that during the 70's the numbers they put up will never be done again by any team ever..... 22 qrts nobody score... 9 qrts nobody advanced the ball(middle of the 7th game 8th middle of 9th) 1976 season, still my favorite stat and the nicest that will never happen again 9 players of that team IN THE HALL!!!!!!!!!!
The first alcohol I ever drank was a can of Iron City Beer in 1979 when I was only 7 yrs. old......it had a picture of Jack Lambert on it.......my Dad let me drink it because he said it would help me grow into a strong young man.......he was right!
People with short memories forget - this team's defense played with linebackers who never weighed more than 220 and covered as well as today's DBs cover.
The '85 Bears rank as one of the greatest defenses, but there will NEVER and I mean NEVER be another team like the '70s Steelers. They had all pros at just about every skill position. And that defense, just plain flat out awesome. Good ole blue collar smashmouth football is what the Steelers are all about man.
Where's Mike Webster (HOF)and LC Greenwood (should be HOF) and Dwight White and Ernie Holmes and Donnie Shell and Mike Wagner and Rocky Blier? You can't have a Steelers tribute without the Rock! Even I know that, and I'm an Eagles fan.
I'm no Steelers fan neither a Patriots fan but watching those old SB highlight films on NFL Network, if the '07 Patriots face the '78 Steelers for example, NE wouldn't had a chance against the Steel Curtain. Also Pittsburgh had a great running game with Franco Harris, and if the Pats have Moss right now, the Steelers had Swann and Stallworth.
Uh, steroids? No, maybe John Kold but thats about it. And Franco's a better halfback then anyone on whatever team you like. And Lynn Swann's the shit so there you go.
TBH: I thought the Bears 46 defense was overrated. Sure, the '85 Bears won the SB. But their secondary wasn't really that great........And they were especially vulnerable against Bill Walsh, Joe Montana and the pass-happy 49ers, who dominated the Bears twice (1984 & 1988) for the right to go to the SB.
4 SB's in 6 years speak for itself...Belecheat and Brady will never achieve that.
If it was not for injures in 76 and 77...it would have been 6 in a row. A simple brutal running game, the best defense ever (and they did it for a decade) was the recipe for win after win.

A great video tribute for a great team!
The Pittsburgh Steelers of the 1970's did it all.
They were the best in a loaded league that included Miami, Dallas, Oakland, Kansas City, and Washington.
No one did it better than the men in black!
I'm a Giants fan by the way, but I know great football, and the Steelers of the 1970's were great!!
