If the best of 1976 defense players were added to today's best players the defense could not be stopped. They were the best in a loaded league that included Miami, Dallas, Oakland, Kansas City, and Washington.

TBH: I thought the Bears 46 defense was overrated. Sure, the '85 Bears won the SB. But their secondary wasn't really that great........And they were especially vulnerable against Bill Walsh, Joe Montana and the pass-happy 49ers, who dominated the Bears twice (1984 & 1988) for the right to go to the SB.
