Don't be so hard on yourself. You are very good at what you do. I've watched many of your videos, and even when there may be a few pitch problems, you sing from the heart and know how to sell a song. You're definitely a performer.

i love your video's roswell
just a couple of tips
1. place your pop-filter furtuer away from the microphone
2. always put your tracks under a stereo input and output if you are looking for a good recording software i would recomend pro tools or mixcraft 4

Mixcraft is horrible.I dont like it because you cannot mix your vocals so Cool Edit Pro 2.0 is good for mixing vocals and recording music.

i use cakewalk sonar 8 producer edition.
if shannon was local to me i'd record her in my studio for free. i have a pretty good project studio with pro level gear. just have been using sonar since 2.0!

your voice is amazing. a bit pitchy, but today, who isn't? a bit of advice: you really should stand while singing. it will open your diaphragm more and allow you to belt out those notes without trying. also, try resonating in you chest a bit more as well as in the nose and head as your already doing and it will make your tone bigger. all aside, you are truly gifted, and sarah is an amazing artist as well, just goes to show that you have taste as well as talent.

Shannon, you have a wonderful, natural talent. Someone gave some advice earlier about your long notes becoming pitchy. If you introduce light vibrato as the note fades, it may help you to hold pitch. Do listen carefully to how professional stage performers' enunciate. A well executed note can sound lazy if it rolls into the next word. I can't wait to hear how your voice improves - you have a beautiful voice that will blow doors off their hinges with the right training. I wish you all the best.

don't be afraid to use your head voice. as i singer myself, i actually find that i prefer to use my head voice rather than my chest especially when singing a beautiful song such as this. you have a lovely head voice so please use it more often.

That was beautiful,and people are right you should do more of this type of music, it really suits your voice. I am in love with your softer tones, they were absolutely heart-wrenching, I enjoyed the risks you took. Your breath control is improving exponentially. Watch out, sometimes your belting can be a little pitchy, but that might come from feeling rushed. Overall, I loved it :)
