  • I had mine done a month ago. The cyst was pimple sized, no bigger than 1cm in diameter. The wound ended being 1.5-2in long, 1in wide, and 1in deep. They don't really know till they go in to see what got infected. It's way better now that its a month later. The surgery was done under local anesthetic (awake), most painful part was the needles the rest was painless with some discomfort. It took less than 10min to do which was good, in/out. The first week is pretty tough feels like massive bruise.

  • God bless you. this has to be so painful. you are brave to put this up online. im a clinical lab scientist. we are the ones who do the testing on blood, body fluids, tissues, autopsy specimens, cancer screens, genetics.. the microscope people that give dr's their lab results. i am praying that since this video is several years old you are fully recovered. its amazing what can go wrong with the human body! peace.

  • is that your butt?

    WHAT HAPPENED im not joking

why did you have to get that surgery

  • does it hurt when you poop?

  • please respond: what the hell is this????? ive never seen anything like that and im all confused so please respond i really really want to know what the hell that is and how do u get it????

  • @danifangurl2 It's a post op pilonidal cyst/abscess. I've had about 3 surgeries because of these. It's caused from hairs/built up sweat under the skin. Main cause is from trauma to the area or excessive sitting, during WW 2(I believe) there was a massive amount of cases of this due to the very bumpy jeep rides.

The pain caused by these is unbelievable.

  • @mnkmnnm You may need to seek professional help if you are having these thoughts. There were moments when I was feeling down, but was able to make it through. Please seek professional assistance if you're having problems coping with the condition. Best wishes!

  • i got one tookin out a month ago but i quit waring the packing after 3 1/2 weeks that shit itches bad

  • How long were you at home and not able to go to work?

  • @ashleystoddard89 I took a couple weeks off, but was able to go back to work without much trouble. I actually felt like I could have gone back to work after a couple of days, but it was probably good that my body got the extra rest.

  • what the hell types of surgerys are these??

  • were u on a wound vac? i just had my surgery a few days ago and its 9 cm long and about 3cm deep. Please respond

  • @MegaMe2211 I wasn't, but for my last surgery we considered it. I received a lot of great care from my local wound center!

  • @MegaMe2211 Mine was 9cm long 9cm wide and 9cm deep. I could see my tail bone. Now it's 5cm long 4.5 cm wide and 1 tiny hole that is 6cm deep the rest is 5.2cm deep. Only been a month. Still on wound vac. Before I got the wound vac I was on wet to dry and some gauze got stuck to my tail bone. That hurt so bad.

  • looking forward to my surgery even more now.

  • AWWWWWWWWWH

  • Had mine lanced twice now, going in tuesday for surgery......: / : (

  • dont get poop in it

  • These occurred a lot during WWII they gave it a nick name Jeep seat because most of the soldiers that got them rode In jeeps a lot sitting and all the rough rides caused them because of friction and rubbing while sitting I've had this problem for a while at first the doctors thought it was MRSA but today I found out that it was this type of cyst it has come and gone since I was 17 and I am now 23 I know I haven't gone to the doctor like I should even though I was misdiagnosed for having MRSA bu

  • HOLY SHIT!!! AM I GETTING ONE LIKE THAT?????? FUCK DOES IT HURT WHEN YOU SIT OR RUN OR SOMETHING?????

  • how did that little tiny thing turn into that?

  • looks like mine did 3cms long by 1 1/2 cms wide had to wear a kilt for about a month

  • wow i have one but mine isnt as terrible as what yours seems to be, its one about 1 cm in diameter. it also has opened up a while ago. having surgery on it in 2 days.

  • @sniperpro461 Good luck!

  • So when u take a shit...um..

  • @davidization6 Not the most convenient thing in the world, particularly the first week or two after surgery. It gets easier though.

  • jegus...

  • WTF - who also clicked this thinking it was a vagina?

  • I had a pilonida cyst removed about six years ago, but the Dr. closed my incision, leaving a tiny opening for packing. Why was this one not closed?

  • @judithk not closing it gives it less chance to return. Closing it right after surgery increases the risk of reoccurence. Personally, I've concluded the best thing to do is treat it at home whenever it flares up...

  • @Hittman305 you will! probably a couple of months at home, im sorry

  • It hurts just to watch that!

  • omg!!!!! my bf has to get this done next friday! & im going to have to pack it.....i dont think i'll show this to him,hes not good with stuff like this...........but thanks for posting it,im glad i looked at it,so im prepared......

  • omg!!!!! my bf has to get this done next friday! & im going to have to pack it.....i dont think i'll show this to him,hes not good with stuff like this...........but thanks for posting it,im glad i looked at it,so im prepared

  • I had the extraction 3 weeks ago and my wound looks exactly the same, it does initially hurt for the first week or so after, they had me on endone before the nurse's daily visits, now being the 3rd week in the wound is slowly starting to fill in and I'm on no pain killers at all, and on the plus side it no longer hurts, I can shower fine now and I can sit on it, but it HAS to be dressed every day without fail, the silver lined dressing works excellent but it makes the wound itch more, I'm glad

  • This is extremely disturbing. Man that is huge. Jesus, this has to be one of the worst diseases nowadays. I just had a lancing done earlier today, and now I can't sleep without knowing everything. This is like the worst shit in the world. How can you work like that? How much time off do you need? I work construction I don't know if I have enough time to do that. This is fucking horrible man.

  • @px1x2x3x Believe it or not, after the first few packings it isnt painful. An abscess is much worse. About a week off work would be ok but you need someone to change your dressing everyday until the wound heals.

  • Thus, what happens when I click random videos......

  • where is it at?

  • know what really hurts? ( in my opinion any ways) is the whole thing supposedly being healed up a year or so later and getting these random charlie horses in the butt muscle around the area that was operated on.

  • My husband had a pilonidal cyst excision january 21 2010 and then again in March 2010. I was his "nurse" and it was horrible having to hurt him the first couple days after his surgerys :(. happy to say now though that he's fully healed and not showing any signs of it coming back! It was one of the worst thing he's ever gone through, I feel for ya!

  • nine comes on every few months or if ive been sitting down a lot or if ive done sit ups. Had it for a few years but its manageable

  • oh and i forgot..the most embarrassing part of it is having to explain to somebody else what the hell is wrong with you.. "i got a hole above my ass the size of a small car"

  • i have the same fucking wound right now for the second time now.. trust me it sucks ass

  • @Lukaz1989

i cN TOTALLY RELATE MATE,ive got a big wound and its going to take months to heal sucks heaps go on to my page and you can watch my video of my pilonidal sinus

  • Oh...your...god!

I've got to have this done! Why did I watch this beforehand!

I think I'd rather just keep getting the cysts!

  • HOPEFULLY NONE OF U willl go through like my first DAY.but this my experience so DONT BE FRITGHTNENT ABOUT IT! I went through MORE but there is NO NEED for me to talk about it!LOVE each one of you N STAY STRONG! BCUZ I AM .THERE'S NO DIFFERENCE OF U N ME! IF I CAN,U CAN! LOVE U ALL! PEACE.......

  • AFTER went to the heath center to change the dressing everyday by TAXi.The dressing DIDNT HURT when they were doing mine.I TAKE TYLENOL.couldnt walk, sit, lay down properly.it was challenging.BUT ON THE 10TH DAY,I TRULY FEEL A LOT MORE BETTER OF SITTING(I PUT A PILLOW UNDERNEATH, NOW I DONT FEEL PRESSURE TO PUT ONE UNDERNEATH BUT FOR CONFORT IF U LIKE),lying down and walking.u are going feel ITCHY STARTING ON THE 8,9TH DAY.ITMEANS ITS HEALING .IM ON MY WAY;).WISHINGALLOFU GOODLUCKWITHPRAYERS;)

    JANUARY 31ST 2011

    ¸MY LIFE IS BRILLANT!!!

    I KNOW

    DONT BE JEALOUS PÊOPLE LOLZ!

    NO BUT ...

IM SERIOUS , IM HAVING MY SURGERY IS AT THE END OF THE MONTH

GOD BLESS THE ONES WHO ARE GOING THROUGH IS.... AND ME

  • @NSayWhatsOnYourMind Good luck! I think I have one of these starting and it is excruciatingly painful. I cant sit right it hurts so bad. I am going to the dock on Thursday.

  • @NSayWhatsOnYourMind Good luck! I have one too and I think I gotta get mine out. Its a terrible little thing. My thoughts are with you.

  • @Nessi311 me too 2 months pre op =(

  • @NSayWhatsOnYourMind

God have mercy on us. What did we ever do to deserve this shit? If you don't have this shit, and you are making fun, I can't even wish this on you. It's just that fucking bad. This is horrible...

  • before the surgery how many longer you have this

  • i had one of these too :( 2.5cm x 2.5cm only, open surgery and packing everyday for a few weeks, most painful thing ever :<

  • I just had this done today, although technically the procedure I had was a "cleft lift procedure" so I don't know if that is the same thing as this. I was down for just a couple hours and my procedure was around 30 minutes of actual surgery. Right now I just have a tube that drains it and it's well covered, but so far so good.

  • Man I hope the hole isn't usually that large, or if so it closes up. I'm having this surgery fairly soon so I'm pretty nervous about compications and having to deal with it over Christmas time. I've had to get the cyst lanced twice in the past two months or so and it's been very annoying to deal with. The doctor said it won't come back after surgery but I'm not convinced now!

  • GOOD LORD!!!

  • Wow, for anyone who is hoping to find some sort of assurance or understanding of a condition, its so irritating to hear all of the dumb-ass idiots who have nothing better to do than to remove any doubts about thier ignorance and attempt to belittle the people who are brave enough to share with the rest of us.

Thanks for sharing. Although, I'm not sure seeing this makes me feel any better about what may be in store for me.

  • oh god i think i have one of those...

  • @AngelzCP3

Lol, just had my lanced. This is gotta be the worst shit in the world. It has to be? What's worse than this? Not even the mighty childbirth stands up to this. THis is fucked up! I never even heard of this until this week, then two days later, Im getting lanced, now Im up doing research, and this is my future. I think I seriously rather die than have to go through this.

  • @px1x2x3x dang. sorry to hear that man.. mine went away i guess it dissolved or something...

  • @AngelzCP3

I lucked out too soo far as well. I got it lanced, and it hasn't came back since. But it's only been like 2 weeks. I have read enough articles in which people said it came roaring back with a vengenance to get too comfortable... I am still working on preparing myself for eventual doom. Videos like this are a great help...

  • SWEET JESUS

  • @Benrayw They may use a needle to draw out the fluid, that's what they did with me at least.

  • where is that?

  • @anthonysfirstandlast That's his ass crack. He didn't keep up with the whole personal hygiene thing, got an infection and his ass exploded.... more or less.

  • @cosmoline626

Not exactly the etiology, but a cute stab at it.

  • @cosmoline626 Pilonidal cysts are not caused by poor hygiene. Although having poor hygiene can be a risk factor, it's not what causes them in general. It's when an hairs become ingrown and form an infection in a sac and most times it just gets a small bump. Those who become infected or absess have to have this removal done. It's very painful and you should 1) be a little respectful and 2) open a book once in a while.

  • @nerdsfn "Having poor hygiene can be a risk factor"? As in- you risk getting one if you have poor hygiene? I think you just contradicted yourself there, Captain Ass Crack :)

  • @cosmoline626 That's not a contradiction. I just should have worded it better. People that get them do not necessarily have poor hygiene, although poor hygiene can be a factor.

  • @cosmoline626

This guy is an idiot. If you are on here, and it's obvious you dont have the issue, because you would pray to your damn god if you did, I gotta question, why are you here? You look up cysts for fun? I mean you are beyond sick. I would never look this shit up unless I had too, this is horrifying shit. It's so bad, I don't even wish it on you, and you deserve it. It's that fuckin bad, I mean did you watch the video?

  • @px1x2x3x I'm here because I enjoy gawking at the misfortunes of others. Doesn't mean I don't feel sorry for the guy (Ido) It's just- I mean- exploding ass crack?! C'mon you gotta look at it. Ya just gotta.

Trolls gotta troll, gawkers gotta gawk.

  • I don't know why I am watching this video since I can basically see the same thing when I look at my ass in the mirror... The hole is so large I have the impression it will never close! Does someone know how long it will take to heal ?

  • @inesis Mine was about that size and it took a few months to completely close up. That was in '06 and I've not had a problem since, thank God! I had one removed a few years before that and they had it stitched up, but that approach has a high probability of recurring, which I found out the hard way. Leaving it open to heal is the best way to do it! Just be sure to change the gauze regularly and keep the area clean. Washing it regularly after it's healed also helps to prevent recurrence.

  • @dane7902 thanks for your comment. It's now slowly closing and I can nearly forget it, except when I sit down...

  • worst pain in the world, would rather have them cut my ass off

  • @sports1226

Im about to start contemplating suicide. This shit is that horrible. How can this shit be? It's so fucked up, it's not fair. This is America! Why how? It's 2011! We can't do better than this?

  • @px1x2x3x You might want to see someone if you're seriously having suicidal thoughts. There were times when I was very down, but I had to keep on. Fortunately I've been healed for a couple of years now. Hang in there!

  • @Benrayw Sorry to tell you but the only way it will go away is it you have it lanced or excised. Unfortunately, yes there are needles involved. But trust me the needles are to give you an anesthetic. You want that! After that, they will cut it open and drain it, flush it, pack it with gauze and give you meds to go home. This cyst will be sudden and not last long before it ruptures. You want to act immediately. These are very painful and it most instances you cant walk from the pain.

  • THATS FUCKING DISGUSTING!!! :O

  • @SummerGameProject Me too.. Oh My.. yo tambien tube uno pero me lo extirpe yo sola..!

  • im having 1 removed monday but i was wondering why they left the incision point open with a big gaping hole

  • @beatdemon336 See my reply to inesis. You're luck they did because stitching it up gives it a higher chance of recurring.

  • I was fortunate to have studied herbalism from an aunt who passes this part of our heritage down to future generations; 1 of my kids had an opening like this at approx 5mos. I flushed w/sterile water, then peroxide wash, & sterile water flush again to clean & used steri-stripes to help the area close. It took some time but ultimately it did heal completely. in the end, there were a few tiny hair follicles growing from the area like nature made a mistake but they came out w/o pressure then healed

  • I had surgery for pilonidal sinus on 23 august 2010, and now when i was about to heal properly another infection came, first doc thought that pilonidal sinus is starting again but after med test we found out that when i was in hospital i aquired some gram bacteria from the hospital when i was admitted and it is the source this time, this bacteria is resistant to most of the antibiotics now i am taking linezolid antibiotic and its much better only in 3 days. anyone want any information contact me

  • I just had the surgery today, the wound is now open they could not close it up, and its about 6 inches long. don't quite know how deep it goes. the only medication i'm on is percaset, however u spell it, and im in no pain at all. 25 minutes after the surgery i was up and walking around. i have about a 6 week healing time.

  • I couldn’t believe how many people actually have this! Almost everyone I talk to about it knows someone or has already got theirs removed. But they are really quiet about it lol like it's something that people should not be embarrassed about!! If you discover you have this keep it cool it looks way worse than it is, For the most cases it is not life threatening, just a huge inconvenience. Just get get it done don’t wait 11years like I did… get it fixed the first sign of occurrence  :)

  • @mamanestas

People need to be more open about this. When it comes to you all of a sudden, and you have no idea how horrible it is, it's death. At least if people know about it, they can prepare themselves their whole life for a thing like this. You need years of mental preparation for shit like this. God damn. I am warning everyone about the horrors...

  • I had the same thing done and that extensive. I have a question. What was your healing process? Did you use the wound vac? Please let me know. It's been 6 months since my opperation and my wound doctor just now considered a wound vac.

  • Is this a butt hole?!?!

  • Is it always this bad cause the doctor just said I've got about 7 small ones all close to eachother. He said after the surgery it should only take a week to heal, I'm kinda freaking out now

  • I just had one of these last year. Started out as a small bump and I thought it would go away. A week later I couldn't sit and the thing was about the size of a Gatorade bottle cap. I got lucky and got mine drained before any major surgery was done. After seeing this, I'm glad I didn't wait.

  • god have mercy on your soul mine was not bad..but the after pain holy fuckkk

  • just asking is that his rear

  • I've been thru the surgery after having this cyst reoccur twice. The surgery got rid of the issue and I haven't had it since. It's been 10 years or so. The more it comes back, the more painful it becomes. I highly recommend the surgery if you don't want to keep dealing with this pain in the ass.

  • I'm 20 and just had a pilonidal cyst for the first time. The doctor drained it and then lanced it *AKA cut it) the draining part was some of the most pain i have ever experienced in my life (and I have a pretty high pain tolerance). the lancing part didn't hurt at all though. Even though the doctor gave me an antibiotic, i was wondering if anyone knows if it will come back, what is the likelihodd it will come back...and if this will be a recurring problem for the rest of my life

  • @ILBaller20 I had one about 6 years ago and I understand the pain part. I had it lanced and packed it was highly infected they said it could come back but It never has. I do have a scar and a pit and everytime I get a tinge there I wonder but all is good'.

  • I had my sec0nd surgery f0r sinus rem0val 0n saturday and it really is a pain in the ass ( n0 pun intended ). I n0w have a massive w0und 0n my l0wer back that requires daily dressing and packing. If any0ne else has g0ne thr0ugh this bef0re are there any tips y0u can give me t0 help speed up rec0very and make life easier f0r me while this is healing?. I feel y0ur pain dude and h0pe y0u are nice and healed n0w.

  • Ill tell you one thing. That is one painfull thing to have, the presure is unberable. You cant sit down or even lay down it still hurts and it feels forever. At one point there was so much pressure in mine that i had stick my ass up in the air while sleeping. Even there there was too much pain

  • @InocenceIsPure I have to agree with u on that. its one of the most painful experiences ever. I couldn't sleep on my back for weeks after i had the surgery.

  • @YaariJattDi5 Yes it does leave you in agony, I am lucky because i didnt require sergury. We wher considering it for a while but my doctor prescribed me a very strong anti biotic, I beleive it was called keflex or somthing like that. Needless to say my abcess has yet to returne. i am hoping for the best.

  • i just had surgery for pilonidal cyst 2 days ago.. can anyone who has had this surgery tell me how long the pain will continue til it subsides?? pain meds don't help much.

  • what was this from?

  • @PiloGuy82 I had mine removed about a yr and a half ago and unfortunately it has returned. My first surgery looked similar to yours but i had to have several stitches added below the excision. It healed fairliy quickly and yes like you said the first removal of the packing was excrutiating. ive been looking into this VAC thing and dont know if i shoud bring it up to my doctor?

  • bodytranslator - search for this word in google...

  • bodytranslator - search for this word in google...

  • @shittyclothing56 At one point my medical team considered a wound vac. I think it would have helped me a lot. Please continue to share your experiences for others. Best wishes!

  • ive had this dun 4 days ago, but luckly wen woke up they ad stitched me bk up, yay,so all gud so far, not 2 painfull really, just uncomfy 2 try sit, but u find ways round that, 2 b honest am gettin alot more pain from the bust cut lip which i recieved sum how in theatre?? which now has infection and still numb from minor temp nerve damage, hmm yeh thanx 4 that nhs.

  • @bennifur

Hopefully you will have a speedy and successful recovery. Good luck!

  • my bf had one of those last year. i was the lucky one who had to pack it the first week. it kept bleeding so much that we went ahead and got a nurse to come every day and do it lol.

  • @ligrl4387

Hopefully he has healed up now.

  • @ligrl4387

god bless you. i had one and its a humiliating experience and your bf was lucky to have someone like you there to help him.

  • @ligrl4387

god bless you. i had one and its a humiliating experience and your bf was lucky to have someone like you there to help him.

  • @ligrl4387 Fair play to you for packing it for him. You're a keeper.

  • @shittyclothing56 ha i wont even dream of tryin 2 drive me car afta it dun, and i imagine car insurance wudnt alow it. so do u only have your dressing changed every week?, they pack it everyday over here, if its still not healed afta a month tho i'll av 2 go bk 2 work, company i work 4 dont pay sick pay, gutted.

  • @shittyclothing56 hmm hope it heals quicker than 2 months, i work in a electronics factory mainly sat down job 8 hours a day, so cant c that being comfy. woz hopin 4 just couple of weeks off. im in the uk, the hospital said i cud b kept in dependin how it goes, and that they sort a nurse 2 do my dressin change each day untill healed. they not do that in usa? and didnt realise u only just ad it dun, ouch, hope everything goes ok 4 u, i'l let u no the outcome of mine next week.

  • @shittyclothing56 thanx 4 the info, i know they r defo puttin me 2 sleep, i ad the lance and drain awake, and fuck me that woz bad enuff, cried like a baby lol, i will av 2 ask about this wound vac thing coz sounds like a gud thing if speeds it up, so does that mean i cud expect 2 b off work 4 2 months?? and is the afta pain not 2 bad then??

  • im havin this op next week, really not lukin forward 2 it, b honest how bad is the pain?? and wot about goin 2 the toilet, i just dont plan on eatin, just liquids if poss, can u give me sum advice on recovery, how long about till can go bk 2 work? and did u av 2 stay in hospital afta op? the docs av told me nowt apart from its a painfull operation, that im not 2 rush bk 2 work, i really dont no wot 2 expect.

  • I had mine done 2 years ago but lately when I sit down it starts to hurt, could mine be coming back? (It doesn't usually hurt when I sit.)

  • @eternalsadd I hate to tell you but it could be. I had mine removed and it did grow back.

  • I just had my surgery and I had a syst the size of a pinky removed. It hurt when i was sitting down before and after the surgery. But weeks after they removed it it doesnt hurt anymore just is an open cut trying to bond itself shut by growing skin.

  • feel for ya G fuck i hate this shit always fuckin around.

  • I've got one of these......... How painful is this procedure? Since I'm an adolescent (15) will they put me to sleep for it?

  • @AFROMANFAN I had it done when I was about 17 and it wasn't painful at all really. They need to give you iv which was pretty uncomfortable, but then they put you under and dot he procedure you wake up a few hours later and it's done and it's kinda like a back ache feeling. I'd suggest getting a nurse to comer to your home to fix the dressings, it's less painful with a professional. They only time it really cause me pain was once when I was soaking in a bath before the nurse came and (More)

  • @AFROMANFAN I tried to take the packing out by myself because eh said if you can in the water it's better for the wound. Well I did and it pulled on one of the stitches inside.. I almost fainted because of the pain. After that it hurt again when he finally got here and told me I pulled a stitch but it was minor. I'd advise getting the surgery. I have no more pain or discomfort from it and it was a simple and painless procedure. However mine was a medium case. How bad is yours?

  • i have this too... question.. if i have 1 hole about the size of the ned of a pencil and about 2 more tiny holes about the size of a tip of a pin will it be as bad as yours?

  • is that a hole in your ass crack!?!

  • @nanarocxie Yes: its considered minor surgery in spite of the way it looks.

  • I had a pilonidal cyst removed today! The anasthesia was the worst part. I never knew all that crap can come outta your body O_O

  • I fell at work the other night and hit my ass pretty hard. A couple days later I felt like my tail bone was a little sore; before I knew it I couldn't even sleep on my stomach it hurt so bad and driving was EXCRUCIATING so much so that I had to push myself up with my left foot so I wasn't really touching the seat. I think I have this problem. Did they at least give you good pain killers???

  • Is that how you pack it with guas or however u spell it cuz im getting my surgery on wednsday >.<

  • Had one of these too, Didn't know what a cyst was till it got so big that one day I sat down in class and blacked out from the pain. Walked in, said whats up to everyone, sat down and my head slamed against the desk, woke up and everyone was looking at me, lol.

  • im in the process of going into the military but this cyst has poped up and i cant do sitt ups due to the pain. docs say surgry would be the way to go but could this ruin my military dream or would i beable to do situps again pain free?

  • i had one of these i had it drained 3 times but it hasent bothered me in 2 yrs im glad!!!!!

  • @netoloks28 you can message me for more info :)

  • @netoloks28 mine was small, but they did leave it open, not nearly as much as this video but it was still open. i had to go everyday to see a nurse to get the bandages changed, the pain killers help with the pain of the badage changes so you don't have to worry bout that. but for the first week, i had 2 stitches called suiters i beleive. those were a bit painfull, made it difficult to walk and sit down. you'll need to limp and lay on your side for about a week or two. but overall not 2 painful

  • i remember when this happend to me it sucked

  • PS: I now know why we're advised not to consult MD friends. My MD pal told me to keep it clean & dry. I wasn't told by other drs that they can be removed. They said it looked great! My sister told me 15 yrs ago about surgery.I read they subside after 40. I take so many youth supplements that my skin at 65 is younger!!! Now I'm stuck with it & pamper it 24/7!!!

  • I have been nursing mine for over 35 years and it is doing just great!!! I wasn't told it could be removed till 15 yrs ago since my selfcare was so efficient!! Now the surgery would be horrific as the tunnels are over 3" long. The pimples that form dry & peel off after a few days of epsom salts & tea tree oil and acne creams so drs haven't felt it is severe enough to remove in the past!!!

  • @PKStefanini the tunnels are over 3 inches long? i have one as well... so frustrating....

  • @XeroEternal I finally remembered that a pharmacist said the key to a symptom free pilonidal cyst is to dry them out. I try to soak it daily for an hour or more with a very hot syrupy salt and water tissue compress. Using a 3 ounce paper cup is fine. It is a thick and smooth brew and it has seemed to help immensely since I don't get the eruptions from squeezed tunnels after doing exercises that cause my buttocks to contract. Let me know if it helps. The operation is too gross for me to try.

  • Ohmigod, the packing, and repacking SO painful with the surgical seaweed :(

  • FUUUUCK i have one

  • ya im on day 3 on mine. weirdly enough though it doesn't really hurt that much as i though it would. its more of a discomfort than anything... an ya its as big as the one excision is as big as the one in the vid

  • This really sucks, because I have a huge one on my back. I've had it since 2001. And it has only gotten worse. I'm a little nervous about ever getting surgery, because of these types of pictures and stories I've heard.

  • i just had a pilonodial cyst removed yesterday.

and i am terrified to have the dressiong changed, and to have it repacked.

i know its going to hurt,

how long untill it didnt hurt anymore?

im really intyerested cause id like to know how long im going to have to go through this kind of pain

  • whats the cause?

  • i had the same thing, i had surgery back in august and the thing still wont heal, ive tried multiple different things. =[

  • mine was longer and deeper , and it took 3 months to close. 20 days ago i had discomfort and severe pain and doctor opend it, made a smal hole, now is closed and im ok.

  • I'm afraid I may have one of these cysts.... it hasn't come back for you, right? Does it still bother you, even after a year and a half?

  • My boy friend had his removed last June, it was no way near as large as yours but he just had to have it re-opened and cleaned out... Im doing the packing and cleaning but realize half the things I was told to do this time completly differs from the last time (had the procedure done at two different places)

  • ohmygosh. . . how do u sit? :(

  • @gizmo20065 It doesn't hurt at all now. I still like to sit on a tush-cush when I drive, but otherwise it's not bad.

  • Had mine removed almost 1 week ago. It still is sore and it oozes a great deal. I AM GOING TO HAVE THE NURSE SHOW ME HOW TO CHANGE THE DRESSING MYSELF. Wish me luck! sorry about the uppercase, I am typing standing up.

  • u knw wat tat looks like

  • I had one but they stitched mine up, i never had an open wound like that and mine was huge at one point but I got right in to get it out...def hurts like hell but I never had to change a dressing

  • I had this. I had a small spot on my ass that wouldn't stop weeping fluid. Was prescribed antibiotics but they did nothing, so was admitted to hospital. Op left a small scar that still hadn't healed months later, turned out they hadn't gone deep enough to cut out the affected skin. Went for a second op and it left a wound a similar size to yours. 5 months later it finally healed to a nice neat scar. I really hope it doesn't come back!

  • I waited FIVE years to get my surgery, it will NOT go away by itself, it will always be there even if it seems gone it's just not swollen at the moment, and it can flare up at any time. I got my surgery Tuesday, it hurts like hell I admit, nurse measured it today at the wound care clinic... 2 inches wide, 7 inches long, 2 1/2 inches deep :x the worst pain is getting the old gauze out, I nearly pass out crying each time

  • @Element27 I know ! when they change the dressing it is very painful ! take 2 pain killers before and ask them to soak it, they don't care if you don't ask.. its my 6th day now and mine was after 4 years. close to yours in size and takes 3 months to start healing :(

  • Mine grow about 3 time in the past year me thinking is a pimple, cause i eat cheese like crazy. The first two didn't hurt as much, but the 3rd one forget it. it was painful i use to scream from the pain if you wait to long like i did that shit burn like crazy so if you it small just take it out it less pain

  • @OrientOranges

i just had my surgery about a few weeks ago, tiny holes were present, therefore the hair around it goes into those holes, the hairs grow into them as soon as they're in. the pimple is the result of that. well in my case. and unfortunately you will need surgery. mine is not even close to the size of this video. so get it done while its small. best of luck :]

  • @greendice21 so if it's small they won't leave it opened like the one in the video? is it a painful recovery?

  • does it hurt when you fart??

  • @PiloGuy82 jajajajaj!!

  • No you get this if you don't wash your ass right

  • @ItalianoLatino82

Not so true. I always wash and I needed a pilonidal excision just this past Monday. Just a small aching feeling, no real pain. Can be a little sore if you walk too much though.
