At that time I visited a car show in Germany, because I wanted to buy a new car. My favorite was the HP Lancia Delta Integrale. On the Lancia stand, I have examined the car closely. I loved him. An hour later I went to BMW and saw a complete longitudinal section of a original Car. Audi also demonstrated a Quattro with a lingitudinal cut. I bought the Quattro. From the metal of one Quattro you can build 1,5 Lancia. From one Quattro drive axle you can make 2 BMW axes and 3 axes for the Lancia.

Back in the late 80s that car was a dream but coudn´t afford it so bought a Fiat Uno Turbo .. now arrived at an Audi S3 but sometimes you see an old Delta and memories come back again ...one of the greatest cars ever built ..still love it !!

Lancia did not take leaps bigger forward in rally than Audi.

Well lancia took about 4 leaps almost as big as the quattro.

But audi did just one huge leap in rally and that was even bigger, First 4wd!

The Audi team was so effective in saloon racing that the team was forced to downsize the engine because they were winning so many races. Even then, they still won a lot of them.

When subaru won the Drivers Championship in 95 with Colin McRae in a Gp A Subaru Impreza and more supprisingly, after WRC rules were brought in, 96/7, Tommi Makinen won the Drivers Championship from 96-99 in a Gp A Evo 3-6. That is way to a lot of Evo lovers, the Evo 6 is the best, because it was last evo to be used in Gp A. In 99 the FIA basicly forced Mitsubishi to build a WRC car for 2000
