Queensryche was able to be "political" yet not so much that it interfered with the likeability

of their music... they had extreemly Great things to convey to thier listeners.... I have seen them several times in concert, "awsome" I have to say... and Empire as well as Promise Land, MIndCrime, and Queen of the Ryche has always been among my favorite collections.. his voice is "Incrediable"..... they are Masters at this Game..

I agree 109Thunder; goldstern should actually listen to the lyrics I was a young adult during this era. 1st, Queensryche is a very passionate band who were advocating issues of social conscious.  2nd the real message here was precisely as you put it, crack was in such a phase of epidemic infiltrating society the song discusses (through lyrics and a lyrical spoken statement) the ineffective way our governments were approaching this epidemic problem.

Agreed. This is a great song and video. It wasn't until the "Empire" period that Queensryche began making good videos--videos that actually matched the image, sound, and caliber of the band. And yes, they need Chris back, but who knows what things would be like even if he came back? There's no guarantee that he would be able to play at the same level that he did 20+ years ago. Still, it would be great to see him with the band again.
