Brandon.... did Sean got the shot? what happened after the time this video ends? Because I'm telling you, my heart was racing as I watched this footage in Discovery Today.. OMG!
i used to live in arkansas. its pretty crazy what a tornado can do ive seen em up close. there horrible and awesome at the same time. ima help out in wadena as soon as they ask cuz ik what its like and ill do what ever i can.
that is scary cuz me and my dad was going home and there was a katty parry song "if we ever meet again" they stop it and i thought it was fakeand they said there was going to be a tornado and i thought it was in my area so we ran in the house and turn on the new (channel 11) and the sky was all yellow.!!THAT WAS SCARY!!!=O
I have not even seen the video yet. I read comments. The word that comes to mind is RESPECT. I respect the people that provided this and serve us with their knowledge and courage. When a person is disrespectful the best thing to do is "not honor them" by being respectful and taking the high road. I will always respect those people that are unfortunate in this type of disaster. Nobody has mentioned the fact that, when people view this, they may do one of several things. (continued)
thanks for posting this, i am in the FM area and was in the middle with tornadoes to the north and south of us about 2hrs---will this make ur show? a lot of ppl are surprised to hear that we get these up here as well---they usually offiliate twisters with only texas, kansas, Oklahoma, and so on---itd be nice to see it make the cut
Brandon, many thanks to you and all the storm chasers our there. Without your relay of the valuble information of what is happening below what dopplar radar can see many more lives would be lost in the US every year. Thank you and keep up the great work.
To tell you the truth but ive never ever ever been in a single tornado yet but my mom said that tornados are really scary but i believe her because my best friend's mom said she used to be in one when she was a little kid and she said that thing is scary to look at
the only reason why stormchasers are studying the tornadoes is because , if they find out what's causing the tornado , they might predict when the next one is coming or stop them
@RIOTshuffle Correct me if im wrong but tornadoes dont appear to be very complex machines.. I would think that after so much research that you would run out of material.. And isn't that what doppler radar is for? I mean how many times have we been to the moon? And I think that is worth investigating more than wind.
@colleen0617 It was also on Wes Michaels.. the hero who saved his daughter on that day, but sadly died. R.I.P Wes. You and your family are in my thoughts & prayers. :(
I live in the henning area, those clouds passed RIGHT over henning on it's way to Wadena and I must say they were nasty looking clouds. We were lucky in our small town. The people in Almora and Wadena weren't so lucky. Once we're allowed to volunteer to help clean up Wadena I'm gonna head on over there and do so :D.
@m3linko, who do you think is out there risking their asses to get ground-truth reports to NWS and emergency management officials? US. Without chasers and spotters 'oohing and ahhing' at the awesome power of mother nature, the NWS would be issuing warnings on every single rotating storm, most of which never produce tornadoes. I know you're probably just some 13yr old jackass that isnt worth responding to, but seriously, storm chasing is our life. It's what we live for. you will never understand.
WOW, those multiple tornados, around 38 seconds, remind me of a scene from an old movie called damnation alley.
Brandon and Sean, this is awesome footage !!! thanks for sharing. We don't get alot of action like this in Maryland or Pennsylvania, but we did get some storms around June 4th.
That footage at 1min 26 secs looks like you were both really close..MOST EXCELLENT !!!
I understand where your coming from there m3linko, but the video doesn't show our hours of search and rescue in Wadena after the tornado struck town. We have a medic on our team and we went house to house helping those who were injured. As stormchasers we are out here to study these storms to help increase warning lead time, call in ground truth reports, and help out in any way we can when tragedy strikes. Think about things with more detail before you spout off rude comments.
@BrandonIvey not to mention every single fire dept surrounding was there right after and are there today doing recovery and clean up, we owe them so much
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
wow for you dumbasses who think this is so gorgeous and amazing, realize that it is destroying many peoples lives as you watch it. It's not some damn circus for you to oooh and ahhh at. The first thing you should think about when you see this is "who will this affect and how can I help."
@m3linko what would you have them do? Try to stop the tornadoes? Much of this type of footage, especially from professionals, can be used to study and further our knowledge of how tornadoes work so that we can better forecast and prepare for them. They are also an amazing display of Mother Nature's awesome power. Stop being so narrow minded,
@m3linko Dude, holy fuck what do you want us to do click our fingers and it will stop. Be in awe of mother nature, if not go cower in your basement or something.
@m3linko you are much more a retard then anyone i have seen. We cant stop tornadoes but we can learn how they act and what they do to help save people in the future. that is what these people do and im sure they would help others if they could. You could be saving electricity by not posting retarded comments on you tube.
@m3linko moron they are out chasing the storm so that they can warn people that don't know what is developing... think before you say something so stupid for the entire world to see.
@m3linko Although I agree with others that you should think about what you say before you say it, I don't agree with the rude words others are choosing to say to you. It's equally as bad as what they accuse you of. To call one "retarded" is disgusting. Seriously, people, think about what YOU are saying also.
As for the video.. INCREDIBLE footage! I love the beauty of storms, and sadly, hate what it can do to lives and property. I pray for all affected by this storm.
@m3linko Settle the hell down. It is an act of nature and while it destroyed many structures and lives, the reality of it is amazing. You are an idiot.
@m3linko Obviously, some can't help. And many think this is cool because it hasn't happened to them. Let nature take it's course, and maybe they will understand later in life. Yes, it was very, very tragic and depressing. But have you ever thought lightning, or hurricanes were cool? Those kill also. And have you volunteered to help? I don't think so.
I see all these comments towards you, and I wonder what yous said. And I knew what I was going to say: 'Don't feed the trolls.' Oops..
@hipsterscene i think lightning is very cool so is thunder don't you see the beauty in nature ? or do you just see the worst in things ? yes it is tragic but no one can stop nature....i did help with the clean up in this tornado what a bitch that was ...
can't sit a cry about what had happen can only get up rebuild and move on with life still lots of people out of homes
@m3linko we can do what we want and your opinion isn't the opinion of everyone else. and most if not all people think about the people effected but they cant stop the twister so they look at how cool it is instead and help after. i have lived through tornadoes before and i remember helping others that were effected by the tornado that just missed my house.
I was watching the radar and seeing the all those individual storms just multiply into a long string of super cells was shocking! It sucks that two people lost their lives due to this storm. Thankfully, Wadena has a supportive community. I have family in that area, so I was frantic when I heard how major all the damage was. Great footage guys, even though tornadoes are deadly, as was demonstrated across MN and ND, this is a great example of the beautiful yet deadly side of nature.
It is amazing to realize the damage that this tornado had. My husband was born and raised in Wadena and we are so saddened by the terrible damage.
