I love this movie! Even though Hitchcock himself and most contemporary critics hated it, I find it very entertaining. I love Charles Laughton's "CHADWICK!"

This highly underrated movie is a masterpiece of mood and period films. It comes off like Poe doing theater. It was also the inspiration for the central plot device of the 1980 John Carpenter film THE FOG, except that in The Fog, the murdered sailors come back form the dead to get revenge
