Ok when my parents tolde me to stay awy from strangers and that sort of stuff, ithnk they where reffering to the loonie knight. Kreeper! Now i know why they call it stranger danger.
@ 00:05 Never will I have someone like that Looney Knight at my future kids' birthday party. I'd rather have Barney the Dinosaur entertain them instead.
The only raggedy anne stor I had seen up until this point was the christmas one....in some ways I'm sort of glad because this film is really trippy...I dunno how I would have responded as a kid...probably fairly positively because I loved return to oz, although the headless mombie bit did creep me out. Im sorry but this animation is some of the strangest I have ever seen...I think it even beats cool world and salad fingers!
"Do some more to this one here. He makes me expand real good." Think I heard that line in a porno before. "But there's nothing that can keep me large enough long enough." Think I heard that line in a penis extension commercial before.
The piano playing is just mind blowing and so psychedelic . I wish I knew who did that piece of music . I looked up the soundtrack and it only has the singing songs on there . Who ever created that music either was on mad LSD or has a seriously good imagination . Thank you mom and dad for exposing me to this weird children's movie when i was real young . They don't make them like this anymore .
@FenrirSkollXxXLuna That's a big thing I like about this movie. No matter how little characters like King Kookoo and The Greedy have to do with the story, certain people can actually relate to them. Their musical numbers are actually quite deep when you get down to it and relate to real life problems associated with such beings.
@slashermaster28 So true you are hahaha Greedy's song stayed with me as an adult ( i had to watch this crazy movie again because of Greedy). though i can't relate to greedy cuz don't eat much. XD ( I think that song added to my weird fetishes I have with men) totally screwed me up as a little girl though I was already a screwed up child enough! XDD
I kinda wish it showed these characters more they were my favorites. ^^
I would've never found the subliminal messages in this film as a child. Found one at 2:15, the periscope that has Loony Land on it; with the letters NY and LA highlighted in different colors. Those two cities now, if not then in 1977, sure are very loony in their own way, indeed!

Yeah, this whole movie in my mind, would be better titled 'Raggedy Ann and Andy Go to Hell'. Granted, this vision of Hell is a bit more child-friendly. Given not just the madness that goes on, but how pretty much every being they encounter outside the house is some manner of soul tortured for eternity in some ethereal fashion. Especially The Greedy.
A purple demon appraoched Dante in knights armor, carrying with him absurd objects of unspeakable horror who led him to the fourteenth level, filled with creatures without sanity.

As I'm watching the King sing, I'm picturing Stewie Griffin singing this song. I'm surprised Family Guy didn't do this kind of thing.

I think one of the animators of looney toons did the animation for the king. It's kinda obvious based on his body movement.
