From experience, I found that building pedals with very tight spaces is to assemble and solder the resistors, cap, transistors....etc and wires. Then mount them to the pedal. Now solder the remaining wires from the pcboard to the jacks and pots. Makes it so much easier and makes the wiring much niicer to harness.
