I agree, his speed burst is what caused him to get a good clearing, but it is also a misread by the defender in giving him far too much space on the side for an easy opening. Also, the 2nd guy was on his right, not actually impeding a straight shot to the basket. It was merely a show-off maneuver. Well executed? Yes. Necessary? Hardly.
