Actually, if I was going to build something now (I can't, because I'm broke and can't get a job cause I'm 13 D= ), I'd probably use the case he has, providing it has decent cooling.
CoolerMaster GeminII S is the cooler. You should be able to overclock pretty well. When I get my new parts for this PC I will upgrade this cooler with its bigger brother.
im planning on getting the Asus M3A78 Pro as well, do you have any probs with it, and most importantly is it weak and does it feel cheap?
i will be coupling it with a 6400, although not the one im using now, 4gigs of dominator 800mhz and a 4870, any comments on the mobo ,would be appreciated thanks , wiggi :D
I have had no problems with the mobo. With that said, I am not really using every feature this mobo has either. I am not overclocking, at least not right now. I got it for it's overall quality and stability at stock settings. The 6400+ seems to be working very well on this board too. I don't get the feeling that the board is cheap. The box is friggin' tiny compared to most other ATX mobo boxes. Other than that, it is the best Asus budget ATX mobo to buy right now. It is totally worth it.
The 80mm fan at the back of your case, a few modders like to cut out the metal grill of the case just to improve airflow and reduce noise just something for you to think about doing maybe, its very easy just some tin snips and a file can do it.
It would look better with the grill cut out. I guess I will try to mod a PC case in the future. I have a job that gives me access to lots of tools >:)
Windowed PCs are nice, but it's not for me. I like "sleeper PCs" When someone looks at it, they don't really know what's under the hood until you open it up.
I agree. Cooling is more important. Some people just hate the noise that new PCs make. My girlfriend hates the way my gaming PC sounds. It is kind of loud, but it has a nice low grunt-like sound. I like the sound personally, but it keeps my PC running cool year round.
nice mobo design, speacially the capacitors stuff...
my old computer didn't work anymore because i overclocked a amd single core from 1.8 to 2.0 ghz in a asrock K7S41GX motherboard, ofcourse i think that asrock motherboards are the cheapest ones in the market and the more complicated motherboards ever, i'll never buy one again...
I'm happy with my foxconn p35a Crossfire motherboard and my 3870 OC, i can play gta 4 at 30-40 stable fps :D.
The high quality capacitors is the reason why I got the mobo. My old mobo picked up all kinds of noises from other electronic devices. I like Asus because of the quality, if I had to choose a different manufacturer, it would be Gigabyte.
Dammit, I keep doing that, lol. I think it's the Arctic Silver that really transfers the heat as well as it does. I'm thinking of taking the GeminII from both my gaming PC, and my old PC, and putting a dab of that Arctic Silver on each of them. I want to see how much lower the temps get.
your case is lame

perfect case for watercooling u should do that !!!
skate4life692 2 years ago
The case is way too small for watercooling. I don't really overclock, so there's no reason for me to set up watercooling.
