I dont plan on telling my co-workers at Tim Horton's I'm gay. If only for the fact it could literally get me fired. Before I applied, I had no idea a Tim Horton's branch donated to an anti-gay foundation thing. But since I need the money, I have no problem keeping my mouth shut. They dont need to know.
that's really fucked up. My old job was not very accepting to gay rights but i never looked into whether or not they donated any money. But you should try and look into getting another job just in case. Or just find a way to steal all their money.
@BlueChease No worries, my job there is only temporary. I mean I was fucking angry when I heard about it, but I literally cannot afford to quit and look for another job right now. But my position there is temporary and I'm sure they'll know how I feel sooner or later.
Every so often I'll pocket some money and If I get caught I'll blame it on you :P <3
@BlueChease Why does working have to be a such a major pain in the ass? But yes, I will get another job before I quit Tim Horton's. I dont know when that'll be, maybe after I'm able to get away from my parents! That reminds me: got any advice on coming out to parents who I'm pretty sure are leaning towards homophobia? Is coming out to parents even worth it? it's not like it's gonna make me even more of a bean flicker than I already am :P
Lol @ the ending. Sagging pants FTW. Anddd I agree with you about not telling people at work. I'm not gay, but I'm trans and if people don't know or figure it out then I don't say it. Why should we? It's our personal life. So yeah. Good talk, lol. :]]
There are things I don't bring up first at work, my faith (Neo-pagan) or my politics (liberal progressive). But once someone asks, I don't hold back. What we reveal about ourselves is up to *us* and no one else. I'm not pushy about what I believe and I don't pry into other people's lives.
Though I do always ask what a person's middle name is. I find them fascinating.
