i have heard bad reviews and good reviews. i am really interested in this phone, i don't know if to get it and risk a bad deal or a great choice. Help Please.

@unicornus33 You can download java apps and a few apps from Samsung. Most free apps tend to access the internet to serve ads. There's no GPS on this phone that apps can access, as far as I know.
i purchased this phone from walmarts website and i hate it. it has to be the worst touchscreen phone ever. when ya txt it is defaulted in t9 mode and cant change it. even in full qwerty keyboard mode. it offers words that make absolutely no sense. when dial a number it inputs numbers that u didnt even touch. and if you go to youtube.com and are NOT on wifi. you can not watch the videos. the touchscreen is not as responsive as it should be since its called a smartphone. do not buy this phone
@MrRherren In numeric mode, you can toggle T9 predictive text by pressing the button that says T9Abc. In QWERTY mode you can turn T9 on and off by pressing the T9 button (shows green when it is on).
@KushFromTheWest Bad pronounciation on my part, but that is one of the attractions of this phone - you don't need to sign up for the $45 unlimited plan.
Responding to Csy30076. I didn't see an option for bring ur own phone. As for the t528g how does it do on web sites where u have alot of pics mixed with text, my e71 has fits when I try to log into a website

All u need to do is purchase the ST SIM or Micro SIM (Aka iPhone SIM), Pay your first month, Then insert your new ST SIM into your "Unlocked" GSM phone and BOOM. U can use an T-Mobile 3G/4G phone or an AT&T 3G/4G phone (Non-LTE). It just has to be Unlocked and thats all. Go to ST website to check it out for yourself

I notice it was getting to hot while charging so I put it in another outlet and then the phone started working normally

@austyn522 No, you can't go back to the main menu when making a call until the call is over. It look like you can SEND a message but not read messages during a call.

Do not buy this phone. Touch screen isn't very responsive. Go with the LG Optimus Q. I did a review of it on my channel. Check it out if you wanna. A lot better than this..
@SuperSoftware1234 yes it is true for me... I have had this phone for about 3 months and all of the sudden it's SIM card crashed. i had to call and get another one. So, once i got the new SIM card, everything was good until recently. my battery cannot keep a charge for more than 30min. also, when I'm in the middle of a call, it will just shut off.
@SuperSoftware1234 I had a problem with the screen initially - you need to keep it clean. Also, I had some trouble managing the icons on the screen. Other stuff was okay, and as I mentioned, I was surprised it had a YouTube viewer.
WARNING - AVOID THE $100 SAMSUNG T528G AT ALL COST!!!
2 out of 5 stars!!! 1) Randomly shuts down/reboots 5-10 times per week ever since it was activated May 2011! 2) Samsung.com support has not provided a "shutdown" solution 8 months & counting. 3) There are no apps & no program offerings to date for saving names/addresses on your desktop/laptop. 4) No calibration feature for the finicky touchscreen.
Avoid the T528G until Samsung offers a PATCH, FIX or discontinues it!!!
@christiangariniani You need to download an app first. I downloaded the IM+ app from getjar.com. Note, the getjar site did not find the T528g, so I set the device to LG 800g. Then, when I used the phones browser to go to m.getjar.com I said it was a j2me phone and used the quick download form at the bottom. The app installed and seems to work okay. This particular app claims to connect to IM/iChat, MSN,Twitter, FB, Yahoo, GoogleTalk, Jabber and ICQ. I'll put a screenshot on my site.
