they used the term in1976 but they did not like what Psychobilly became.. just read the interviews! they did say about it: Lux: "Psychobilly today doesn't really have a groove. It's as if (the bands) are tryin' to make their quota in the factory. It doesn't seem sexual to me.." they did saw them self as a blues Band!
I remember seeing The Cramps at the Hammersmith Palais, in London, long long ago. Lux climbed the speaker stack and started ripping the ceiling down. RIP Lux.
It reminds me of when Lux was on another Halloween special on USA Network's late-night show that Peter Zaremba (of the Fleshtones) hosted, in which Lux urged, "Why give 'em something that'll rot their teeth, when you can give 'em something that'll rot their minds?! LUX LIVES!
Incredible stuff. And most certainly, as it happens to be; the 96 tears do drip from my 96 eyes. I'm knocked out depressed about his leaving too early. It's too hard to cope with. If somebody has to die ever, why not Phil Collins? Celine Dion?? Or any goddamn rapper who defends being a lowdown criminal is "cool", wearing junk twice his own weight, thinking he's hot shit, treating women like whores- AND strangely get away with it?? AND being a "hero" to kids?!
A wonderful reminder of when the God Monster walked amongst us

Bit of a rant there Diddywahdaddy, apparently some of the pioneers of rock n roll and country music also led less than blameless lives.
