i will now wach the video and then coment whether i think it is fake or not. becoz there alot of peolple saing it fake, but let me be the judge of that
Yep this was on my flight back from durban it was a different one though i think said something about choosing your favorite child at the start of the flight :L. I love south africa. There's no way at all a british airline would be allowed to do this without getting sued! :L
All you haters need to go to South Africa and fly Kulula to see for yourselves. Just because "other international airlines" don't do this doesn't mean South Africa is wrong to do it, it means the other countries don't have a sense of humour anymore. People always complain about their flights when going on trips, so Kulula is making sure that people have a great time when flying with them. Is that really so wrong? :P
Funny, but the voice is annoying....Did this person speak the whole way like this? Here in the US one takes Southwest .... I missed to record the Safty Rap on a flight....
@markusnerlich , this is a very typical Afrikaner accent and voice from SA. I had several Afrikaner colleagues in the past who sounded exactly like the flight assistant in the video, when normally speaking.
It's comair aircraft but BA own them as franchise so they opp under BA brand products and service and feed BA mainline pass to to all over southern Africa
Crew from sa based in joburg or Capetown and wear BA uniformes but payed and employed by comair
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Fake as hell because there's a short range Boeing belonging to B.A parked next to this jet. And secondly there's a Sky Chef catering truck there too. Making this a UK airport.
@ektrolleyboy No, its not a british airways plane next to it. Its a Comair aircraft. They have the BA livery because its owned by BA. So its probably real!
what a load of RUBBISH, you shouldnt comment on stuff you know NOTHING about. British airways FRANCHISE partner airline Comair operate within south africa using 737's
"Comair is an airline based in South Africa. It operates scheduled services on domestic trunk routes as a British Airways franchisee and an affiliate member of the Oneworld airline alliance." Sky Chef truck's can be found at any major South African airport. Get your facts strait next time. Lastly that is not fake, that is so Kulula.
Older viewers may remember a character on S.African radio in the 1970s, called Blossom Broadbeam...she spoke exactly like this in a parody of the SA accent.
The purser announced that it was kululas birthaday and they were giving an all expenses paid holiday to barbados having the winning boarding card in his hand ! He then went on to say now that i have your attention the cabin crew will take you through the safety features of this aircraft! The whole plane errupted in laughter!!
Its really true. We heard it 2 weeks ago on our flight from cpt to joberg. "If you wont to smoke we´ll escort you to the wings an you can try to fly without wings" Looool
as former cabin crew i thought that was classic-that's one way to get passengers to listen to ya! flew kulula quite a few times while on the job and that demo is the standard one used for each flight. :D
This is certainly not faked. Some airlines are quite spontaneous or encourage their crew to personalise the airline's service to fit their (Cabin crew's) style. So long as wat needs to be delivered is delivered, the rest can be up to their own creativity. Usually common on some American and European airlines..
@thibaulthalpern Ja dude, have you ever EVER flow Kulula? Really they talk like this and much much more so don't come out with your idiotic conspiracy crap.
@thibaulthalpern I used to be a hostee for kulula and this is in fact a real demo... Our slogan is come fun with us... We did evrything with humour...
Wow! She sounds sooo funny!! lol! This cabin looks different from the American MD-82 to me. Well, different from the one's i've flown on. I like it though!
I also noticed a difference in the cabin. its the overhead bins. In the MD-82's we had with our late airline in the Caribbean ALM/DCA the shape of the overhead bins doors were a bit curved while this is a straight door.
I don't know if that's the change your also noticing. Don't know If American MD's have the same curved door or there are other differences, please let me know, thanks ☺
I remember flying with Kulula last time I was in RSA. The announcements are just so funny...honestly they really are like that! You don't forget them in a hurry and isn't that the very point they are trying to make?
No, it's really not, Kulula is known for their nutty pre-flight announcements.. I suppose it's to put people at ease as statistically people are most nervous about flying before they take off and right before they land :p.
kulula is hilarious, once i flew with them and they told us we were heading to Bulawayo the entire time (instead of Durban, where we were really going)
her voice might be annoying butat least they do it in a different way and try to make your flight more enjoyable. They are just joking around, but they still take safety seriously. The better and cheaper than sa airways and friendlier aswell
