@MAXfingerboards make sure you press animation presets at the top of the folder that comes up, and then text, dont click text in the first folder you open which is where number and timecode is!

@VintageEve make sure that ur layers are set to 3D, if u are using CS5, it will only work if ur layers are 3D

In CS4 you simply have to double click. The wobble effect has to be applied onto the text layer, not the pre composition.

You probably mean the preview. You have to play it back as a RAM preview to view it in real time. For that AFX needs a little bit. Simply hit 0 on your keyboard or click on the right symbol of the preview tool bar (where the normal play symbol is located)

But I was just wondering...o.k this is going to be a bit hard to explain but anyway: say I wanted to make another piece of text behind the first one so that the camera would zoom in past the first first text and then show the 2nd text. How would I do that??

Ok, thats fairly simple. Just create another text in the same way (You can also duplicate (Ctrl+D) the layer in the project window and then drag it into the composition. Alt+double-click on the layer to edit the text). Then turn in into 3D, push it back a bit. You also need another Null Layer that should also be pushed a bit more back. Also you wanna push the background back and scale it up, so it has the same size as before.

(-> contuniation) Perhaps you can move the second text layer a bit later on the timeline so the animation appears later. And then animate the camera.
